Ms Dynamite I never understood the comparison to Ms Hill.
But Estelle, I understand why she's being compared to Lauryn. Beyond being dark-skinned (Kelly Rowland is too, so...lol), not only does she sing and rap but she also is a woman of substance. Her latest album is FIYAH and songs like "Change is coming" are really songs that will make you understand why she's being compared to Ms Hill. More power to Estelle!

Not only does the comparison thing stem from her ability to rap and sing, I also think she slightly resembles Ms. Hill.
But you're right - her album ain't fantastic. I kinda grew bored of it after a few days - and there are only 4 or 5 songs off it that I play, the rest sound too raggamuffin for me - but the 1 with Cee-lo from........can't remember now, but yeh that tune needs to be her next single - it's off da hook. Do u know what WILL be her next single by the way?

I thought Estelle's album was great! I play it everyday! Can't wait to buy it when I pick up Madge's! BTW, she looks like she could be Missy Elliott's sister!
Her album was alright. I won't be buying it though. As for her teeth, she's already got those braces on.
Yup to late she got them braces already! I've really tried but I can't get into her music. I am sure I will especially if folks think she's as good as Lauryn I was just listening to that CD last week.

I was kind of disappointed in her with the whole teeth issue...Never noticed it before. As long as she doesn't get rid of that "tomboyish" hair she has, I'm good.
"Shine" is the business. I understand where the Lauryn Hill comparisons come from, but she isn't on her level (I'm not going to say she never will be). Didn't really care for the reggae-type songs, but they grew on me

Her music is okay, nothing to HOOORAH about, but it is different... I think if the labels are going to pay for her to fix her grill she should...her mouth is tore up.
