Is she lip-synching?!? Her voice seems to always sound husky and strained when she sings live.

@ young she wasn't lipsynching...didn't you hear hear her cracking?
...and it sure as hell wasn't the cd track...
she does however have her backup singers sing a part:
"what nobody tells me, i'm gonna be here"
that part is always sung by the backup chicks!
amazing performance and she looked hella foine!

I loved her interview. Very entertaining.
As for her performance, I thought it sucked! She butchered that song. And she is soooooo wrong for wearing that dress with her saddlebag thighs and poochy stomach. I never really expect much from Ms. Keys in the fashion department though. She's always hit or miss. Her performances are usually on point though.

"...her saddlebag thighs and poochy stomach."
LMAO!!! Yeah, that outfit didn't do her any favors...She should've learned this lesson after "No One".
This sounds lip-synced. And I officially hate this song now. It sounds like something I've already heard before...Maybe because I played it out when her album first came out...

I love the song, but she didn't do it justice. I'll stick with the album version, thank you very much.

I love this this song..
And YES, she did Lipsynch in that part:`"what nobody tells me, i'm gonna be here". Her backup singers sung that part ok, But Young..If so,why pretend to sing it then?
Anyways she did look good. And the interview was funny

yea whitney and amanda(the backups) sing that part as they do in bits of her many other performances. Look at the Today Show performance. Also with the No One performances they sing the "i know" then alicia "some people search the world" then backups sing "to find" and usually they sing together "something like what we have" and so forth. Shes just singing along to stay with the song. she letting the background do what they are there for. some peoples back ups are just there to fill in the stage while the artist is singing to a track or with pre recorded part.
