@ NR, maybe. But with Beyonce's concert The Beyonce Experience, they aired it on BET BEFORE the DVD was in the shops so at least folks got the opportunity to see whether the concert was worth buying or not.

Artists generally don't put other artists they're touring with in their concert DVDs, unless it's tour dvd with all the artists. Usher didn't put Kanye and Christina Milian in hers, Beyonce didn't put Robin Thicke in hers. You're buying it for the name artist, not whatever opening acts they have.
(I wish they would though...I'd love to have concert footage of Christina and Robin!)

The allegedly rocking "Shut Up and Drive" seemed fairly lackluster, particularly given the roar just emitted by N.E.R.D., and "Umbrella" was a let-down, with the backup dancers lamely twirling bumbershoots as Rihanna, in a new outfit that resembled a cross between workout gear and a military uniform, pumped her fist and high-stepped like an aerobics instructor. Clearly, she's a star made for video. The camera loves her more than the naked eye does.
