I believe Kat has a ballad by the name of Love me Leave Me. That is a ballad. Its very reminiscent of Unfaithful however its considered a ballad. Also in the rerelease of 9 Lives there a slow song called You Are only mine.
Toya, Kat has a video on her Myspace where she tells that Calling You is just a single in between... she records her album and wants to have a single for her fans. I think her album will come out 2009 with a new single.

I have never liked this girl, but this is a good song. I love the electronic fusion that mainstream urban music is embracing.
I think the track is hot. It's not lead single material though. It sounds more like a 2nd or 3rd single. And it'll probably do better in Europe and Japan than in America, because it has a very European sound. But it's a hot song. Very radio and Club friendly. If Kat pushes this with a hot video and releases it at the right time, she could have a hit with it. BET won't play it a damn though.
I'm tired of these synthed out, vocoded, pop tracks that keep getting put out - but I end up liking a lot of them regardless. They're like my guilty pleasures.
I'm pissed she never released "In the end" though. That was my tune from 9 lives and it would've made a bomb ass single.
Wish she released Animal. I love that song to bits. It's like she wrote it for me. I hope this song does it for her. I love Kat and she's latina too

Love me leave me does not show her vocal capabilities. She hit the E above soprano high C on "am I dreaming", and a very solid Eb5 in whine up spanish version. Hopefully her new album will have more songs that show off her range. This new song is hot, better than the majority of her last album.

This is definately a Red One production! There productions are just too similar now! This sounds very similar to Lady GaGa - Just Dance and Tami Chynn - Frozen! Yes so I'm 99.99% sure that this is a Red One production!

^ I downloaded Lady GaGa - Just Dance earlier this morning - it's amazing! I don't think the two sound familiar though, but Just Dance is a Konvict Production...... I think. Well it features Akon so it most likely is.

I heard it of it (and her) for the first time today by chance, but I saw "Konvict" and "Akon" in the title so I knew it would be worthy of a listen.
I don't like Akon as an artists but he's a good producer or he's tolerable as a feature artist.

Colby O'Donis, or whatever his name is, destroys "Just Dance". He's really not needed. But, I guess Akon had to promote him somehow. He's boring to me.
I doubt Tami Chynn would have much success with "Frozen" since Lady Gaga is taking off with a similar beat.
I LOVE Kat DeLuna, 9 Lives was so slept on! Feel What I Feel would've made a great single, along with Love Confusion and Animal. I couldn't begin to tell you how great that album is. I always thought of Enjoy Saying Goodbye as a partial ballad, but Love Me, Leave Me was great too. Be Remembered was great aswell, geez, the whole album! It makes me sick how badly she flopped. As for Calling You, it's definitly not a departure from anything on 9 Lives, since she's always done those different-sounding tracks, but it's something new.
I also forgot to say, Calling You sounds like another RedOne production, he produced her whole first album 9 Lives.

I love this song...but Kat needs to release a song that shows her vocal capabilities cuz i heard sing live and she can shut down veterans who claim they can sing the ballad You are Only Mine and Am I DReaming shows some of range to a certain extent and 9 Lives was a hot album
