Ne-Yo is probably bored with R&B because all of "his" shit startin to sound the same. His lyrics and his beats at times. Yeah he's unique, I give him that but it is tooo much right now especially when he and stargate is writing and producing for everybody. Every artist and their mother got a song with them LOL!
They leaked this, because 'Closer' isn't meeting expectations and won't.

@ live&learn, I prefer none...R&B guys are just not cutting it for me lately. These massive egos and the MJ biting are really old.
"Jealous" sounds very 90s (always a good foundation) but that and a somewhat memorable melody is about all it has going for it. That's a better start than some of the other tracks that have been leaked, though.
Like I've said before, Ne-Yo's songs just seem to wander around in circles until they finally end. I'm starting to think that all that songwriting praise he received really is undeserved because his songs, structurally are lyrically, are painfully predictable and/or straightforward.
Again, what is he trying to accomplish here, cause I hear no *major* evolution.

It needs to be changed immediately. For his sake.

Ne-Yo isn't a good songwriter to me. I guess people consider him one for the hits he's written, but he's too one-dimensional. A random song can come on the radio, and you can instantly tell he wrote the song.

Umm, thanks Beyonce for making this song what it is (even if you only had a small role).
I am actually liking this, but it sounds incomplete. If it was tightened it up it could be pretty hot. But as it is, the vocal production is too ragged.
