@ Mileka, the girl can sing her ass off and she's only 17. To me that makes her extremely talented. Folkk are already saying she's the second coming of Alicia Keys (like Alicia, Karina also plays piano). I think she has a looong way to go before she gets to that status but I can see her potential. I just hope Def Jam promotes her properly. Too many talented artists are slipping through the Net all because they're not getting promoted properly. Even Solange is seeing some success now.

She was at Disney World doing Tower of Terror last week, so I doubt she's pregnant.
And when calling in to radio, someone told her about a fast rollercoaster in New Jersey and she was like she could go now if she wanted to (She was at home in NYC). She went from the Bahamas, to Orlando, to NYC, to LA in one week.
And she also said she was planning a US tour for November. She said its still in the planning stages with the stage and stuff.

I like the Samantha Mumba songs. She's going after the electronica/euro-pop sound like everyone else. I don't think I can listen to a full album with ONLY those type of tracks. I prefer a mixture. I preferred her older sound which was more on the lines of Pop mixed with a bit of R&B (I bought her debut and loved it). But I guess she's moving with the times and putting out music she thinks will sell. Good luck to her.
Def Jam aren't going to promote Karina. She's going to flop, hard. I'm looking forward to her album though, I hope it doesn't get pushed back.

I get so amused when people say that So-and-so is the next What's-their-face just cuz they do something similar. It's hard to live up to and rarely, if ever, happens.
