The question is...is Rihanna ready for another Rihanna album? What direction will she take this time? Will it be more of the same? Will she 'up' her voice quality? Will the album be themed? Will the album be pop or rock or RnB? I read also that Keyshia Cole will have another record soon...in December. If they want to spit them out quickly, fine; great. I just hope that the work is good, not rushed and is meaningful.

Just don't go back to reggae/dancehall shit. The Pop/Rock Electronica works so good for her.
The one thing I love about Rihanna is that she is versatile. (SHE IS, HATERS STOP LOL) I mean she does dancehall, R&B, Techno, Pop/Rock, Electropop whatever, she's awesome.
I hope the album is a bit of all the genres she does best.
If she will release another album this year I hope it's in September - December, so atleast she keeps the one album per year thing up but I would think it's best to wait until March 2009.
I'm always happy to hear some new Rihanna tunes, but she should just take a 6 month break she hasn't stopped in like 2/3 years.
Ohh and she should do that Britney Spears "Blackout" sort of sound and work with Danja, it would be amazing.
I dont think that any thin she puts out will be better than Umbrella, but I also said the same thing when SOS, and then Unfaithful came out, so I guess only time will tell.
It's going to be VERY hard for her to top Umbrella. I wonder what she has up her sleeve this time?

Her single (Umbrella) did better than the CD, I know a lot of people get mad when you say her CD was a flop but it really was, considering all the hype and press she got she just made it to 1mill after 8 months of being out in the US. Riri should have been with Alicia 3mil in the states alone with not so much of a hit single. And as far as the voice thang she needs a lot of lessons still...

No more Rihanna until 2009. PLEASE! The label must think that she doesn't have a lot of staying power. They must be afraid that if she leaves for a while then come back people won't be interested anymore.
I bet she is KNEE DEEP in recording debt. She probably hasn't made a dime off of records sales yet. The albums don't be out long enough for her to recoup the money from the last one, then she steps right back in debt a few months later making a bigger hole recording the next album.

Rihanna and Beyonce both need to take some time off before releasing another album. Especially since they are both planning to release at the end of this year.
I know Beyonce hasn't released anything in a while, but it still doesn't feel like she's gone.
I have a feeling I might support Beyonce this time around. I disliked B'Day so much that this next LP has 'got' to be better!

Well I am not a big Rhianna fan I do not own any of her CDs. I actually think she should continue to ride the wave of her success. It is true that her CD should've sold more copies with such a huge single but maybe more people like myself would take a chance and spend the money this time if she comes with another hot single.
I'm not at all a fan of Rihanna so I wish she'd stop. Damn, an album every year?!? People complain about Beyonce all the time. She's had two albums since going solo five years ago. Little Miss Warbler keeps over-saturating the market with crap no one's buying and nobody says a word.
I'm not sure, but i believe Rihanna did have one of the best selling albums last year. It didn't do Alicia numbers but so many released albums last year and the completely fell off of the charts.

I agree with Rain Man about Rihanna's sales. GGGB sales were not that great. She suffered the classic curse of the singles being good but the album not selling that well. She improved on her other sales of course but 1million over more than 6 months is not phenomenal. If Beyonce did those numbers, she would be dropped.
Rihanna sounds banging on reggae-tinged tracks like 'say it'. What happened to that?
