I like the long, better than Promise Ring, that was just annoying and cheesey.

I really like this song. I dunno if I'm hearing "Back up" though Nick. The vocal arrangements on most Darkchild joints have a similar vibe and feel about them though. I've always liked how LaShawn Daniels has put it down on Darkchild joints. I'll take my hat off to anyone that can take the Spice girls and have them sound hot. He did the damn thing on "Holler" and I don't give a damn if those bitches were pitch corrected and vocoded.

The cool thing about Tiffany so far is that she's not singing songs about things too out of her depth. This is what f**ked up JoJo. That girl has mad talent, but nobody is going to take a 14 year old singing a song about telling a triflin' n***a to get out of her house seriously. JoJo will not be taken seriously by the masses until she's 18 and is able to come with some star quality. Her age and song topics have always been what has prevented her from being a huge star, but her lack of star quality has impacted her also. At the moment she's just a white girl with a really good, soulful voice. She needs to come with more than that. Or have a team like Rihanna's behind her that can manufacture and pimp the hell out of her and get her that monster smash single.

Hopefully Tiffany won't fall into the JoJo trap. It all depends on what her album sounds like and how she comes across from here on out. The more I listen to "I'm grown", the more I fall out of love with it. It's pretty generic on the whole and I'd expect more from a girl as talented as Tiffany and a producer as hot as Rodney Jerkins frankly. I think "Promise ring" was a better song though because it was more quirky and The Clutch came correct with the lyrics. It was a sweet song, but it banged pretty hard and struck the right note. "I'm grown" will sound hot in the clubs though, but I'm so over the whole stomp, clap, clap, stomp, clap and twinkly piano. I couldn't stand that shit when Dr. Dre did it, hated it when Scott Storch rinsed it like mouthwash and it's no better now Rodney's doing it. His songs are only more tolerable because they have better lyrics and he adds some form of melody here and there.
I look forward to hearing Tiffany's album though.

I kinda disagree. I remember someone else brought up the thing about Leave, Get Out and everybody was like so what, it only a song.
Plus her last album was so creative. The writers found creative ways to push on the topics of sex without actually going there fully.
For instance songs like, Like That and especially Good Ol'. I mean just listen to the lyrics.
Plus, if singing doesn't always work out, she could continue to do movies because she's actually pretty good!

She has a wonderful voice, sounds better than alot of artists right now, examples Ciara, Rihanna, Grown is overused and typical for young teens now adays.
