She is really underrated. "Shine" was hot. She reminded me of Lauryn Hill, yet she's still in her own lane. "More Than Friends" is the best song on her CD. She's so versatile with her voice, and she raps, she's got one of the best albums of the year next to Cheri Dennis and Usher.

Marcus, Cheri Dennis' album sucked, big time, only good song on it was Dropping Out of Love in my opinion, and Usher..I won't go any further on that one. BUT I LOVE ESTELLE. I hope Come Over, In the Rain, or So Much Out the Way become single's.

in my opinion, no album could EVER EVER EVER compare to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, but since Lauryn has abandoned us by never making a follow up album, Estelle seems to do a pretty good job filling the gap. This girl is extremely underrated and her album is one of my favorites of 2008. I love Come Over and No Substitute Love, and pretty much every song on the album and hope perhaps she makes it even bigger!

@ Vanessa, Estelle definitely can sing. She has some really versative vocals. She's like a new Dionne Warwick when it comes to vocals to me. Estelle is a great lyric mezzo soprano.

"In And Out of Love" was a great album. Although, some of the songs were three years old, Cheri did her ting. You can't tell me you didn't like "Ooh Ooh." come on now
I find Estelle interesting enough to keep an eye out for, but not enough to buy her current album.

Nope, found all the songs to be boring except Dropping Out of Love, which I still think she should release as a single. And if her album was so great, explain the failure to impact the radio, or even dent it at that, and the horrible sales? She needs some hot producers like Timbaland, and Swizz Beatz to help kick-start her career, because it ain't started yet.

Kanye West wasn't supposed to come on stage. It was a huge surprise, The host "Olivier Minne" told the audience that Kanye was in his hotel room and enjoyed the show he was watching on TV, and decided to come and perform with Estelle.
Why ? Because there were not 30.000 people but 150,000 in the crowd. OH YEAH !
It's habitual because the "fete de la musique" is the biggest music celebration event in France.
So it was a surprise for all the viewers and particularly for the 150,000 people in the crowd !

OMG Vanessa...I thought No one on this site know's Keisha White! She is the most underrated singer in the country! The Weakness In Me is a classic! IMO
I love Estelle though, she is mad talented! Rapper/Singer/Producer/Song Writer! I'm glad that she's getting big! AB is #1 on French iTunes and also peaked at #12 on US iTunes too!
But everyone knows the most talented British singer is Beverley Knight! She vocally blows every singer, even Leona out of the water!

I also found Cheri's album disappointing. And didn't Timbaland and Rodney Jerkins and Ryan Leslie and Tony Dofat produce it. How hotter than that can you get.
@ Vanessa, Yes I love Sadie Ama also, her voice is so pretty, especially on "So Sure". Since ur in London do you know what's happening with her album-wise?
I don't think Keisha White is better than Estelle vocally though.

loool ohhh keisha white would kill estelle vocally lol...to me estelle just aint a singer lol...but sadie ama...yeah her voice is very sweet sounding which i love!!...but i mean there doesnt seem to be much hype for her over here in london at all...and shes had the same tracks on her myspace for ages...but i think shes working on her debut album
@ Mileka, same way I felt. It's easily the best track, it's just got that moody escence with the beat, it's reggae influenced and I found it sincere and her vocals sounded great, mixed with the male background vocals too. I'm talking about Come Over if anyone was wondering.
...the album does remind me of lauryn hill too...the whole rap n sing thing...the vibe...plus wyclef did a lot of production on it so...
I love Sadie! There was so much hype around her when Fallin' first leaked! She was second in that Sound of 2007 thing, the same table that made Corinne BR, Mika, Duffy, Adele etc really huge! If they released a video for Fallin' along with an actual physical release too, with promotion, then she would have become the UK's Queen of R&B! But they effed it up and now there is almost no hype whatsoever for her album!
