that was one great performance, maybe the reason why they chose nicole as the lead for this song is because that's how everyone knows pcd, and so if they want it to be successful why change the formula. However i do think for their next single, they all or others should sing.

PLEASE. most of you, esp toya must have never seen them in concert! i saw them their first album when they did the Hardrock concert tour in the states, and they had a song "fever" that the others girls sang themselves while nicole was in the back getting ready for 'feeling good" and they sounded like shit. particularly melody. girl can riff, but thats it he has no sparkle to her voice when shes singing versus. thats why nicole is the lead.
well if none of the others can sing it just shows you that truely they arent a GROUP. nicole is the singer and the rest are background dancers.

I LOVED IT. I was mad I didn't get to watch them perform last night, but it was worth watching now, I loved the breakdown when the song becomes slow and Nicole was raised on the platform, like the song a lot better now.
U know what's ironic about PCD? Nicole is the only one singing and yet she can't seem to get solo career off the ground. The performance was HOT, no doubt. Very easy to dance your azz off when u only have to shout "WHEN I GROW UP". At this point, the "GROUP" should be called Nicole and Pussy Cat Dolls.

Melody is no where NEAR the vocal ability of Nicole. I'm not saying she can't sing, however if anyone has seen her live, she is horrible. She has no control,and people think just because she can duck in and out of pitch and ocatves she can sing...sorry. Shes a cute back up singer IMO...Nicole is the singer of that group. I would personally like to hear more of Jessica..shes got some cute little techno/dancy tunes that she sounds pretty good on

As for Melody being able to sing better than Nicole - No!!! She can belt, but that's all. That doesn't make a better singer. Nicole has that voice that sounds good on radio and on studio recordings ("Baby love" aside). Plus, she has that sass and playfulness to her voice. Melody doesn't have that. There's a reason why Nicole is the only chick that does leads. If Melody could bring it how Nicole does it'd be a different story, but she can't. So homegirl needs to stay singing her one ad-lib at the end of her songs and just hold up her leg in the background.

Stupid people melody ain't no better than Nicole. Nicole keeps her voice silent. her highest note comes close to christina's highest. and she has better notes than mariah these days. so don't doubt het vocal abilities.

Nicole deserves to be the lead. I hear the other girls do actually have bigger vocal roles on the rest of the album so we'll see what happens.
I don't know why anyone is bitching about it though. They sell millions of records worldwide, clearly what they do is working well for them so why should they change?
Nicole is lead because she has the better overall vocals. That's all there is to it. Melody is okay on the odd riff and ad-lib. But on a whole song and also live - she sounds pitchy and off key. She doesn't have all that great control over her vocals. It's not enough to just be able to hit a big note. You need to be able to control it and tame it.
Nicole has a much better studio voice than Melody. She sounds sassier than Melody - which is probably why she was picked as the lead. It would be nice to hear the other Pussy doll girls do a lead on songs though. One does get tired of Nicole.
I'm hoping Nicole's "Physical" will end up on their new album. Especially seeing as Timbaland is heavily involved in it. It'd be a shame for the song to go to waste as it'd make a hot Pussy dolls single.
