Totally agree with you Mike. I personally think Chris is way better than Usher. And Confessions was so overated it annoyed me.

Then you must not have followed him carefully. At his concerts, he performs MJ's Billie Jean, including his VMA performance last year. In nearly every music video, if you look carefully at his choreography, they are taken from Off The Wall/Thriller era. The Gimme That video jacked Smooth Criminal. I don't see Usher in Chris AT ALL. The only reason why they get compared is because they both sing and dance and started at a very young age. Not even their music is similar.

Ok, maybe up until now he's modeled his career of off Micheal, but I don't see Micheal Jackson in either Usher or CB, really. Its like comparing Janet and Britney Spears-not that it doesn't happen though. But singing and dancing is where the comparisons stop for me. Obviously Chris and many others alike try and force the comparison, but music and talentwise they're different-MJ and CB that is. Now a days you see Chris Brown doing more of the stuff Usher did in his teen years.

Chris Brown does my head in. His voice annoys me to no end. His music is just so-so. Nothing he does feels substancial and even when he does nail a good song - it's not like anybody couldn't have done it better. "Take U down", "I wanna be" and "Say goodbye" were all great songs. But don't think for a second that a n***a like Omarion couldn't have done just as good.
I personally feel that Mario should have the career Chris is enjoying right now, because that dude steps his vocal game up just how Usher does from album to album and just does music. He ain't try'na hop on no trend how Chris has. Plus, Go! was a solid album and shitted all over Exclusive. It was easily the best album to come from a male R&B artist last year.
The only thing I'll give Chris Brown credit for is dancing. The guy can move - that's not even up for debate. But everything else? He's not bringin' it or doing it for me. His song "Forever" is some straight up garbage.
I'm gonna agree with everyone who's saying that CB is not comparable to MJ. Just because CB tries to mold himself after MJ DOES NOT make him comparable to MJ. MJ, in his day, took his dancing and singing to a level that CB will never reach no matter how much he repeatedly rips MJ off.
And what is so wrong with Usher's comment? It's bad that he's a successful R&B artist and he thinks CB has the same potential?
IMO it's debatable who's the better dancer and as far as singing goes CB is nothing to write home about. In fact if he couldn't dance as well as he can, we wouldn't even know his name.
Only way I see him lasting is if he actually pleases an audience that isn't full of 10-18 year old boys and girls. Maybe he'll show some growth on the next album?

No. Just no. Chris has Usher on the dancing, hands down. But in terms of swagger, Usher has him beat. Chris can crump about the stage and jump from one table to the next - but Usher is smooth with this swagger on stage. He is able to have the audience in the palm of his hand. Plus, vocally - Usher has Chris beat right the way down. Even when Usher was 18 he was sounding much better than Chris be sounding now. Plus musically Usher has always brought it. Chris' first 2 albums were inconsistent messes. Usher stepped his game up in a BIG way between his debut and My way.
I don't think that ANYONE can be or mold themselves after MJ he consistently reinvents himself everytime he comes out. Usher I love him he can dance and sing and a lot of the things that chris brown does now dancing wise usher has done the same thing just on a smoother level. I can't see how most of you says that cb shits on usher dance wise he is good but as for the flips that he always does what is new? I have seen usher do that on several occasions at his concerts and trust me I have been to a few. Besides CN IRRITATES the hell out of me he is like a less talented male version of Beyonce he needs to go into a hole for a few years because he is everywhere.
