this is a wack song...verses is boring , chorus is weak and the mix ain't that good, why chose this as a 3rd single??

It was chosen as the third single because it was the next song getting the most airplay and selling the most on iTunes behind Piece of Me. As of now it is #30 on iTunes Pop chart and has over 10.8 million impressions on Mediabase (ranked #39 in airplay) in the USA.

WHEN ARE YOU GUYS GOING TO WAKE UP AND REALIZE THAT THIS BITCH IS DONE? IT'S OVER FOR HER. SHE'S RICH FOR LIFE AND SHE WILL NEVER BE THE BRITNEY SHE ONCE WAS.

They've ruined such a hot song, it's really embarrising for Britney. Why didn't they just wait a few months because Britneys actualy being "normal" these past months.
I'm just really hoping Britney does sort her self out and get back in the studio because Blackout is one of the best albums from this millenium so far.

"Blackout is one of the best albums from this millenium so far"
Oh god people, no just no.
Blackout is all lights and mirrors. Britney was handed everything she needed and all she did was provide vocals. Even her vocals were altered. Britney doesn't deserve any credit what so ever. The videos were terrible and her live performances are terrible.
She needs to focus on her life, not her career. They clearly pushed her into something she was not prepared for and it shows.

Needed a better video, "Break the Ice" isn't one of my favorite songs from 'Blackout', but it could have had a killer music video..but we're stuck with this anime shit.

@Annonymous.
IMO it is one of the best albums, I know Britney only provided the vocals but still the proudction and even the vocals were just brilliant and suited each track. Britney could be on top again if she sorted her shit out, which is she atm.

There are tons of artists who don't lift a finger in the recording process (Britney being one of them), but I don't think that means they don't deserve some credit for the album. "Blackout" was raw as fuck (IMO), and I really can't picture any other artist singing (or talking, whatever you want to call it) on any of her tracks. I noticed that people tend to associate "Blackout" with Danja and the beats more than Britney herself...
As for the video, I don't really care LOL. Jive needs to let this album and Britney go until she gets her shit straightened out...

there are better songs in BLACKOUT, Break The Ice is good but after some plays it becomes annoying, i think she should have released Hot As Ice or Radar
and about the video...
what can i say?
its another piece of shit that britney puts out for whatever reason, but i dont know how her label is still investing money on her

They have to release Radar, but then again I think any song on Blackout would do good on the charts if she promoted it and was in some sort of normal state.

I totally agree wit the people saying that Brit needs to focus on herself for a while. I call It the Elvis diesease. Becoming TOO Famus Too. Eventually, it takes over. Looked what happened to Whitney, and Maraih. Hell it might even happen with Beyonce' if she goes through with this Dance CD their talkin' about. Brit does have an amazing album, but she can't do anything to fully revitalize her career at this point because of her Bipola crisis. Case Closed.

"There are tons of artists who don't lift a finger in the recording process"
How does that justify anything. Just because a portion of artists do the same does not make it right.
Its fine if you enjoyed the album. It is music and is meant to be listened to. However, to go as far as saying it is one of the best albums of the millennia is just pathetic and an insult to the industry. This album was meant to make money, and used lots of trickery to do so. If you don't believe me read the reviews. That doesn't mean the music isn't good, it just means that Britney had little to do with it.
Does that mean she is terrible? Right now she is, but its reasonable to blame that on her current issues and situation. When her life is back together is when we can really judge her "comeback".

I made the statement "There are tons of artists who don't lift a finger in the recording process..." because I felt it was a weak argument to say that she was handed everything.

My last post continued LOL.
I wasn't trying to justify anything. It doesn't seem fair to be critical on Britney for a lack of participation on the album, and not be critical on everyone else. Had she been sane around the time of the album release, I don't think her role in the album would be an issue...

Radar NEEDS to be the net single, this Bitch is finished otherwise.
Hot As Ice is also a killa but after a few listens it starts to sound too much like Nelly Furtado's Maneater.

I'm not even going to talk game about which single Britney should and shouldn't have released - because regardless, none of them would be hits unless she promoted them, acted sane and came correct with music videos. The fact of the matter is that every song on Blackout could be a potential single (although I wouldn't go for "Heaven on earth" and "Ooo ooo baby"), but without promotion they aren't going to go the distance.

"I made the statement "There are tons of artists who don't lift a finger in the recording process..." because I felt it was a weak argument to say that she was handed everything"
Its hardly a weak argument considering the proof of her role in the process. If you mean harsh, yes I totally agree. I tend to do that when people make silly comments like "best album of the millennia so far". Its just frustrating that truly talented people are being overlooked. Ex. Lupe Fiasco.
"I wasn't trying to justify anything. It doesn't seem fair to be critical on Britney for a lack of participation on the album, and not be critical on everyone else"
I am also critical on everyone else. You should see the things I have to say about Paris Hilton lol. Ill repeat what I said before, just because other people do it doesn't make it excusable. In fact, it makes it even more sad.
"Had she been sane around the time of the album release, I don't think her role in the album would be an issue..."
Rehash of what I said numerous times. I already stated her current condition is a reasonable excuse.
Pointless argument, NV stated his/her opinion. I stated my opinion and you stated yours. Trying to convince another person to change their opinion is pointless... but fun :p
Take care, Im done with this topic. Thanks for the fun.
To Be Continued...till Britneys next album lol
