I've never cared for Britney Spears until "Blackout" (one of 2007's most underrated album). Now I'm a full-fledged fan . So, I'd say I'm excited. Hopefully she'll set the trend for others to follow .
"Blackout" would be one album I approve for a re-release due to the fact that her label fucked her career up. Had she remained OUT of the limelight, musically speaking, and gotten the help she needed, she'd rule the world!

I've liked Britney's music from day one even from her 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' days. There's just something about her songs that got me drawn. We're the exact same age and I just relate to her music for some reason.

I agree with you 100% there Toya. They should never had released "Blackout" that early, but over the past months she seemed to have really calmed down now. I hope this is a new leaf for her.
I am soooooooo anticipating this album now. I doubt it'll be as good as "Blackout", I love every track on that album, and yes, she could have ruled the charts with it.
Awh i'm such a Britney stan, I love her.

I hope the album isn't all ballads though. I'd love to see some more club bangers from her.

But if she did re-release "Blackout", i'd buy it again.

I am one of THE biggest Britney fans. I have grown up with her and have every album, know all her choreography...everything.
Radar is the next single and is going to radio June 24th I believe, and there WILL be a video.
Also Toya, you can add that Bloodshy & Avant and The Clutch confirmed via myspace that she was working with them again (Piece of Me, Radar, Toy Soldier, Freakshow, Toxic). Someone wrote to them asking if it was true britney was working on a new album, and he wrote back true. I am thrilled. Also, Billboard confirmed that Britney's album will be out by the end of the year. For a Christmas time battle between the Whitney and Britney.
Breatheheavy.com and britneyexperts.com are excellent sites to use.

@ Toya, I agree with you on everything you say about her. In The Zone was AMAZING. "Breathe On Me" is by far the best song on that album, the performances were sizzling. The Onyx Hotel Tour wasn't as good as Dream Within a Dream tour, but the BOM performance was too hot for words.
Her music just like you said, draws you in. She is by far THE MOST MAINSTREAM artist around. Whatever anyone does, or whatever the mood is, she always comes out 110% better than anyone. Her music is the best. Many people, even straight guys, can put their pride aside and admit to that. Blackout was a classic...I still listen to it. Gimme More is my fav. song EVER.

I hope to god she does release "Radar" and makes a video for it. I loveeeeee that song. The radio stations would eat it up haha. If she promoted it I think it could be this years summer hit.
I can't see the album being out the end of the year if she's still in the writing stages, and I think that is a bit soon. Maybe February/March and bring out a single at christmas.

NR we would get along great in the real world haha. We have similar tastes. She is a beast...no one, and I mean no one, has better music than Britney. I love her so much.
Hopefully the album does come out then, because she has been in the recording studio at LEAST 40 times by now, and there are quotes that came out saying...
stuff like, "we are highly impressed by her. every demo that is given to her, she blasts it away. every single one."
I can't wait...I'm just gonna buy in the zone off of Itunes cuz i lost the CD...

NR here is a post about the tour..
Singer Britney Spears performs onstage during the MTV Video Music Awards at The Palms Hotel and Casino on September 9, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Kevin Winter, Getty Images)
Britney Spears is in secret negotiations to stage a major comeback spectacular in Las Vegas, according to reports.
The pop star was spotted dining with Palms Hotel & Casino owner George Maloof Jr. in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, fueling speculation her next show will be a Sin City extravaganza.
Insiders claim the dinner at Il Sole was a business affair.
Maloof Jr. and Spears have been friends for years, and the pop star's ex-husband Kevin Federline and her father Jamie have both had business dealings with the casino boss in the past.
According to the new issue of the National Enquirer, Spears is planning a "multi-million dollar stage production she hopes will jump-start her career."
A source tells the tabloid, "She wants to make a splashy comeback in Las Vegas. She wants the show to be full of high energy and flashy costume changes."
Spears is reportedly in negotiations to perform a string of shows for an estimated $10 million.

OMG Im Soooo f******ng Happy bout that news(Confirmed) Ive been listening about that albums for weeks also, but doubt about it a little!
Blackout for me is an UNFORGETTABLE ALBUM: PURE H.O.T.N.E.S.S!!!! Geeeez!
(Help me here Random J, I Know you liked that album, you'll say everything that I think about it)
"Radar" was and still IS MY FIRST choice from it after "gimme more".Theys are great also.
@ NR & Roy,
We could get along also you guys As a straight guy,Im a big fan of Brit(After Beyoncé). One one my best friends holds a fansite (Spearsintentions.com) and I'm always updated about averything that she does!
A re-realease would be better than a new album, cause people didnt really "enjoyed" it (For example, the other day I played "radar" to one of my friend's house (He HATES Britney to death, and He was like:"Who's that singing? Whats that song? that's hot?" When I told him it was Britney, he was Shocked, lol...No kodding!
So I think, a re-release Might be good though!

I think with "Blackout" many people just called it a crap album, just because the state Britney was in, and didn't give it the time of day.
I don't get why some reviews hated the album.

I love her midtempo songs.
Before the Goodbye, I Run Away, Don't Hang Up...
her unreleased songs are actually amazing...I never understood her unreleased songs. She always has FIERCE ones that could of taken spots of fillers, but she usually has only like 12 songs so that's probably why they cut them and don't include them.

"Where Are You Now" from the oops era, BEST ever.

ok. I'm straight as well (beyoncé stan) and i really LOVED her last album...but still, i've always thought the main reason i liked the album was because of the production.. had it been britney or someone else it wouldnt have been a big change to me... i have to agree her voice suits those beats pretty well, but still i think she is more of a pop icon than a singer...
her previous hits before she started working with black people to get a more urban sound were....good pop songs for what it was worth... she truly took a whole new dimension to me when she chose a more urban mature sound..
Overall britney is a great dancer.

I'm not a massive Britney fan - i bought Blackout 'cos I heard she was working with Danja amongst other RnB artists, and although it was a good album the songs sounded samey-samey to me and I got bored of it rather quickly.
But this is good news. Sounds like it will be another RnB-ish album, Sean Garrett is a true pro and he doesn't tend to over-produce albums so he may have just 2 or 3 tracks, which means hopefully unlike with Blackout Britney will deliver an album that is colorful and shows off an aray of productional talent.

@ mileka, girl i don't think Man Eater helped Danja AT ALL!!!!
Since TIMBALAND is a fucking egocentric person who doesnt acknowledge the songs he says he produces are half produced by someone else...Nowadays his bitch is Danja, eventhough he's starting to get some shine...It used to be Scott storch back in the days (cry me a river for instance)..
Both "Loose" and "Future Sex Love Sound" helped TIMBALAND, not danja, even if he produced just as uch as timbo did, if it's not more.

[New Britney album]
This was confirmed WEEKS ago. Bloodshy and Avant had already said they'd been in the studio with her working on new material. I'm not all that excited about her working with Sean Garrett and J.R Rotem as their songs were the worst on Blackout. She needs to be reaching out to Bloodshy & Avant, The Clutch, The Neptunes and Danja (again) - because they brought the heat on her last album and pretty much made it. I can't think of any other producers who could lace Britney as tight as they did. I would say Timbaland, but he doesn't seem to be hands on with his music anymore. Perhaps B-Cox!? He's been working that Euro-pop vibe in alot of his material as of late. I coul dimagine Britney on a beat similar to DK's "Sucka for love". And also Ryan Leslie. He seems to be good at correctly lacing bitches with rubbish vocals.
[We belong together]
Admc is right. B-Cox did not have anything to do with "We belong together". It was co-produced by Manuel Seal - who seems to be Jermaine Dupri's new tight-knit co-producer now B-Cox is flying solo.
