Gravatar I think I know what you're talking about -- there are a lot of bad blogs out there, but if it involves an avril lavigne sound file i press the "next blog" button three times before I can actually read any of it.

Would you say that this type of blog stems from immaturity (hopefully they'll grow out of it and either write a better blog or get the hell off the web) or insecurity (we're fucked)?

Gravatar Names and Links... hmm... I'll have to think about that. But honestly, if you do a little blog surfing, you'll inevitably find something like what I mentioned.

Gravatar We want names and links dammit!

Gravatar I'd have to agree. The blogs I read all have one thing in common: while they might not be entertaining or interesting all the time (and some of them are lucky to make it to "borderline coherent"), they're an honest insight into the person posting to them. They may be complete fucktards, but at least I know I'm getting what they think and not just some regurgitated crap they read on BBC or some other "trendy" blog.
