nooooooo...we can't be too old; 'cause we're still living. i've retreated too and didn't have any drama in my life, but when i did let someone in my life, before the drama -- i was more vibrant and more me. so since i'd matured some, when that relationship ended, i didn't let go of the vibrancy and the moreness of me i'd rediscovered. of course, it's amplified when there is a person in my life. so i remain hopeful too of another time in life that i might connect with someone who gets me and i get him and we amplify each other's vibrancy and me-ness. i remain hopeful for the first time having the connection last a really long time...
