I completely agree. I don't think people in London tend to realise how close places in the city are to each other. I'd rather give myself a bit of extra time and walk to meetings rather than get on a crowded tube.

Hi 2muchstuff. Thanks for the post. Like your blog and have added a link on my blogroll. Make a few trips every so often to London and will make a habit of checking your site before I travel down on the train.

It definitely should. The amount of times I see people driving kids to school that can be walked in 10 minutes is bordering on rediculous. I can see a reason if it's pouring with rain but this seems to happen every day!
I spend 20 minutes walking from home to a train station and another 30 walking from the station to my office. I wish some people weren't so lazy and did the same!
This campaign should definitely be nationwide. Great blog!
