Don't get me wrong. I grew up on the north side and it was good. The river, the lakes, downtown. Mpls was a cool place to live. There were problems sure but there always are when people live in close proximity.
It was nothing like it is now though. My girls haven't seen much of where I grew up. It's not safe for me to take them there. That's too bad because I would like to.
Other than what is being stolen from me, I spend very little money to support that city. I don't eat, shop or seek entertainment of any sort there, except for 1 ball game in August.

I'm currently walking all the streets of North Minneapolis, the Willard Hay neighborhood in particular. It's such a beautiful area or should be. It takes an incredibly bad government to mess this up.
Some of my BC neighbors are refugees from Minneapolis and they tell me the areas I really should have a care about walking are in south Minneapolis and over by the University.
