Well said. The hope that we have is that the base will be able to speak when it comes time to pick a new presidential nominee. I think that most of us have given President Bush a pass because he has provided strong foreign policy leadership. His failings domestically are of concern, but his success in the Middle East is paramount.

I've said much the same thing for years, though not as well. This applies at every level of government. A more sensible DFL would curb Pawlenty's sudden urge to tax and spend this year.
