Conservatives will be respected. Your basic needs will be met, and in most cases you will be able to pursue your lives without interference. You will be permitted to organize athletic competitions and social events for the entertainment of your people. Religious decorations will be allowed during scheduled feasts and observances, as long as they do not disturb civil order or the routine business of law enforcement officers. Bumper stickers of an appropriately upbeat and consensus-building nature may be exhibited, subject to review.
To the extent practical, you will be encouraged to form committees from your own membership to oversee the drafting of local ordinances, the passage of incidental levees and the resolution of zoning disputes. In addition, we will actively solicit your input in the development and logistical design for all Five-Year Plans (especially as pertains to isues of labor supply and local funding) and Cultural Enlightenment Initiatives.
With your help -- and a lively interchange of ideas between your council members and our on-site, party-officer-level Community Monitors -- I am confident the trannsition to new-style Liberal Governance will be both rewarding and incident-free.
