Considering that the average American idiot thinks we are in a recession with a 4.9% unemployment rate, you may be correct.
Truly. When will economists start trusting the unemployment rate, and stop factoring in all those other annoying market indicators. Only an idiot thinks bank failures, credit droughts, Treasury yield inversions, high prices, commodities crunches and mass layoffs are "recessionary."
Independents who vote for McCain will be the same damn fools who insist on believing their own lying eyes, rather than invariably-downward-revised gubmint statistics.
