So I guess this means solar activity isn't really increasing, either, since that was the "rational, obvious" explanation for global warming on Earth and similar warming on Mars (according to Rush, Sean, Glen, etc.).
This is great news for us AND the Martians!
Oh, and in any event, the mean-temp chart path continues to rise, even post-1998 -- despite the author's clever manipulation of a 10-year time-slice.
I'm not a believer one way or the other, but both sides are obviously having "fun with numbers." Anywaon can play, if you know how to pick your stats.
The earth is compensating for what little there is.
