I write my posts in Word or OpenOffice.org writer (depending on if I'm in Windows or Linux). Not only does it do the live spellcheck on it, it also makes sure I don't lose it to some stupid technical glitch.

Also, if you're tired of blogspot, you could install Wordpress or Movable Type onto nathanandjulie.com. It's not hard, and you can export your previous work from blogspot to it.

Doesn't work if your finger slips. I have a side button on my mouse which automatically does the back function in explorer and other browsers. And, because I don't have the drivers to unbind the mouse buttons, I just have to be careful and remember to periodically hit ctrl-c while I am writing.
