half the players are yankees anyway...do you really want to watch that Nate?

And not to change the subject, but Bane said over on Theodore's blog that you're an atheist. Is that true?

Gravatar What I said, was:

Nate, I thought you wiped your bum with our Constitution? Don't try to use the Bible to win an argument when we know you're an athiest, so to speak.

Don't put words in my mouth, Commandante, it ain't sanitary.

Gravatar Bane knows where I stand with the Lord. He wasn't sayin' I'm an atheist. He was makin'an analogy, and a fair one.

I slam the constitution for not being adequate enough to prevent the abuses, so I accept his critizism, when he points out that it's a bit hypocritical to also slam those who don't adhere to it.

I don't agree. But I understand his point.

I'll address this further tomarrow or monday.

Gravatar Oh.. and about the players being yankees..

Most of the players are from either TN, Bama, or Florida.

You're on crack.

Gravatar Isn't Florida really just South New York?

Gravatar Isn't Florida really just South New York?

Ha! So true.

Gravatar "I slam the constitution for not being adequate enough to prevent the abuses, so I accept his critizism, when he points out that it's a bit hypocritical to also slam those who don't adhere to it."

The Bible isn't adequate enough to prevent sin either. Only faith in God and His Word will do that.

The constitution will only work if people believe in what it's suppose to do. When people stop believing it can work we get what we got here today. A mess. No matter how tight you word it, some silly attorney will find a way to redefine it to suit his client's purpose. A judge will say, "you know, that might be right", and the next thing you know, people stop respecting it and respecting what it really means.

Does any of that sound right, or am I 'just typing to see the pretty words'?

Gravatar Mysterious and colorful accents may be heard in exotic sea ports like Miami.

Harry in Ocklawaha

Gravatar The Constitution doesn't work because Lincoln showed it could be ignored w/o consequence. That point was further driven home by FDR. Cat's out of the bag, and the lawyers have been tearing what was left of it to shreds for the better part of 70 years.

Gravatar My roommate is being taught in his PoliSci 101 class that there is no right to privacy.

Gravatar Privacy??? I don't remember that one. Is it new?

Gravatar It's the foundation to Roe v Wade.

Gravatar "If that doesn't give you chills... Then I pity you. Maybe soccer is on some other channel."

Oh, woe is me...three Big Ten games on the "other channels", but not a single one of them is Michigan. Tennessee I can get, though, so back and forth between that and Wisconsin I go. Alas, what else can I do?

Our big intra-state rivalry is next weekend, wish I was back home to see it. Second only to the UM-OSU game.

Ah, I love Fall.

Gravatar Well, it wasn't a pretty win, but any win works.

Gravatar My roommate is being taught in his PoliSci 101 class that there is no right to privacy.

It's true. Otherwise, when someone gets busted for prostitution, they could claim their right to privacy was violated. Same for drug use, gambling, etc.

Gravatar Dang it! That last was me.
