Hey while we're talking about blog technical stuff.

What the hell is "trackback"?

I think it's a way for you to keep track of other people that have linked to your blog, but how do I do that?

I have had a few posts on other websites that I wanted to link to, but when I tried their trackback link, it wouldn't work.

Maybe one of y'all know how to do this?

Trackback shows when someone links to a post.

its a way to keep track of blog conversations that you end up starting... When the Pope wanted to talk about the Tale of the Great Whatsit, he left a trackback...

Well, but do you just link to the post, link to the post's "permanent" link, or link to the post's trackback link?

That's what I don't get.

So, if I post to someone's link, they can trace the page that I linked to them from using the trackback feature.
