Gravatar Why would the FBI care if they fleeded the state they still have jurisdiction. Me thinks something more. Cool though.

Gravatar Nate keep us cubicle locked unfortunates posted.

Gravatar 6 total arrests... there is a 7th person they are looking to arrest... but they ain't got him yet.

Gravatar And not a peep on the national news as of yet - too busy covering the Jackson trial I guess.

Gravatar kinda sad ain't SB.

Gravatar How dare the federal gobmit harass these outstanding public servants? These people are the very finest citizen legislators of the state!!

Sorry I can't do it any more, I was just thinking how the MSM will try and spin this. What are the chances that some of these characters are on a minority ethnicty?, then the MSM can scream racism.

Gravatar FarmerTom,
To early to call how many are black and white... could be up to 12 total, and we only know of 6 so far... BUT..

We do know that of the 6, 4 are black... and among the 6 are some of the most powerful black folks in the whole state... as well as maybe the second most powerful state legislator period.

Gravatar Welldigger - I don't know if I'm more sad it's not getting more coverage or sad that I'm not surprised that it's not getting more coverage.

Gravatar I'm still wondering why the interstates were being policed at the state line. Maybe because of the others they are looking for?

Gravatar The Rev. Sharpton should be arriving on the scene any moment now.

Gravatar Hey Nate, is Zach Womp (sp?) still involved in politics down there?

Gravatar MR, yes, Zach Wamp is.

Kathryn Bowers, one of the arrested, is a black woman. She's the head of the Shelby County Democratic Party in Memphis. Roscoe Dixon, another of the arrested, was elected to her seat when she moved to the state Senate just recently. Bowers is a formidable woman. Sharp-tonged, aggressive and a scrapper. Think Mama Jefferson on The Jeffersons.

Gravatar Or Della Reese.
