For what its worth, I think the punishment for corruption should be proportional to the power of your position. Example: The County Dog Catcher is caught stealing from the Alpo fund. Punishment: death by hanging.
I'm not sure what I'd with a crooked state legislator; but it would probably involve burning tires and/or a big sack full of starving bobcats.
That would be the uncle of said rising star.
You know...USUALLY I'm opposed to using the word 'delicious' to describe anything other than food.

Maybe FoxNews, Drudge, CNN, and all those other news services could put you on their news wires, it might actually allow them to have some connection to the issues that really hurt citizens today.

Anyways, I expect this of all politicians. It's when they're actually caught and arrested that I'm surprised.
That's it, Will, you nailed it. The corruption and crooked politics is to be expected, however sad that may be.
It was interesting watching the circus around Traficant in Ohio, as though he thought bribes were just one of the usual political perks that were his right as a legislator.
The politician taken to task for his sins is the rare animal, indeed. It's a great thing.
