By that logic the remington 700 must be the best bolt action rifle, cause gunsmiths love to work on them.

It's better than talking about Ron Mexico.
I bought a Ruger Super Redhawk a few weeks ago. My first wheelgun. I like it a lot. I want to shoot a deer with it.

Both? I don't know if I got a good deal. I bought it used in good condition for $475. I knew the Super Blackhawks and Redhawks were the strongest built revolvers. I wanted it heavy, to cut recoil. I wanted the ability to mount a scope, though I don't plan to right now. Super Redhawks come with rings.
I got it in stainless.

I got a new addition in the F department. It's an XD45 compact to replace the 40 (they didn't have a 45 when I bought the 40).
I went to wally world to get a little ammo to tide me over until I can get dies for the 45. Winchester JHP's were cheaper than the ball, which I thought was weird.

I read the label attachment, and it said that Knob Creek was Lincoln's home town.
I'd still drink it, but I feel guilty like when I eat Duke's mayonnaise.

I'm jealous. I would like to have two of them.

EP... Comment I did! Just not here. I hit it on the other thread.
Is it a CZ 75 clone? or a Hi-Power? I assume hi-power for obvious reasons I always have a hard time telling.

I bought 2 guns last week.
#1 Rem 700 classic in 7mm-08. Made a near 600 yard dog kill with it on Sat.
#2 is a varmint version of an AR-15 with a bunch of match grade goodies.
The wife says I've reached the point where I have to buy another gun safe. Bummer.

Thimscool: In the prairie states, dog usually means prairie dog (the rodent).
I find the 7mm-08 an interesting cartridge, but I don't have one. I also think the .260 Remington is pretty interesting in that class. Someday I might own one or both. Cartridges in that range seem to be pretty sensible deer rounds.

"aren't you obligated to fill it?"
Oh ya. Thats the issue, I'm overflowing the one I have.
The dog was a prairie dog. It was about 570 yards, not to shabby for the first time out with the gun. I've got to get around to posting a pic.

Just picked up my Kel-Tec on Friday. Got the SU-16B. Sweet. I actually first heard of the Kel-Tec from this blog a year or so ago. Read while everyone railed against the mini-14 and sang the Kel-Tec praises. Did my own research and decided you guys must know what you're talking about.
Thaks!
