If the author is anything like the feminist I have known, she should spends less time tending the inner garden, and more time tending the ones that crop up else where.
One such was at my house this week end. She dropped off her kids for my daughters bday party. Man hair cut,tank top, as much hair in the pits as me.
She kindly asked me to make sure her daughter drank water, not soda pop. I asked if she could have bday cake. The mom said yes, that she "tried not to get on them to much at bday parties."
The poor kids declined cake or ice cream though. Wouldn't eat hotdogs either, vegetarians.
Ahh, the joys of being a kid.
