Maybe somebody dropped it 30 years ago when nobody cared. Who knows?<br><br>There are much more pressing things than whether lunar landings were faked 40 years ago. Welding aluminum is something that was not really possible until the mid to late 70's, the welds were too brittle prior to that.  Heck, shielded metal arc welding wasn't even developed until the early 60's - so everything was riveted; airplanes, missiles, everything made of aluminum was riveted together. I had the privilege of watching it on my folks B&W TV live as a young boy.
