Gravatar Have fun, boys.

Gravatar Good ridin...

Gravatar Wish I were there with you guys. Guess I need to rob a bank or three.

Gravatar Tell them Deliverance boys I said howdy.

Gravatar Have fun Nate. Just be back in time to explain your Man Flag post. I am dying of curiosity. Been married for 30 years to the same man and can't imagine what has you all "het up".

Gravatar
I'm sorry. Nate is currently away from the blog. He's off with JAC and some boys riding the goat trails and powerlines around Royal Blue in east Tennessee.

Leave your name and web address and comments... and Nate will get back to you as soon as possible.

Sorry? HA! I don't buy it for a minute.

Gravatar Tell them Deliverance boys I said howdeeeeee Weeeeee Weeeeeee!!!

Gravatar Nate, enjoy the ride. When you get time I would like to discuss rifles... and ammo. Are you at all familiar with bow hunting ?

You can email me directly at f22pilot10@yahoo.com let me know when you have the time and I would appreciate some input.

Lookin to power up...........

Ammo... buy or self load ?

THANKS !

Gravatar Deganawidah; alot has to do with how much time & money you have to spend. As in most things these days, you really get what you pay for. But this goes double for hunting equipment. Bows can cost more than rifles these days. Good optics can cost more than both. When it comes to firearms; most manufactures do an excellent job. Few things in this world you can spend $600 on and have your grand-children still use it. I will say that rolling your own ammo. Then going out and cutting cloverleaf holes;or dropping your critter like he was hit by lighting. Is a top notch sense of satifaction. My only real advice would be not to get caught up in the magnum craze. On any of the stuff out there. Better to have a 308 that you shoot all the time. Than to have a 30-378 Weatherby, You can't afford the ammo for. And are afraid to sqeeze the trigger on because it blacked your eye last time you did. Most hunting doesn't reguire a 15 power scope with a giant objective lens to go drop a deer at 200 yrds.. Anyway; once the man flag gets rised back up, you'll be getting more than you asked for on this blog. Enjoy the sport, thats what it's all about.

Gravatar Hope you're havin' fun on your getaway, Nate! I sure did on mine! Some pretty country up there in Georgia...

Gravatar Bros; my link up isn't working. But you need to go Mike's freedomsite and check out the new hogzilla. 450 bushmasters are going to be a hard item to come in the south. I ain't going on vacation in Alabama without one.

Gravatar oh now MTHead... a big hog is nuthin' that a .454 won't cure.

Gravatar You be right; My 44 with some of my special 300 grainers might be enough. Sure beat my fingernails in a root-hog-or-die. But give it up Nate. Thats one scary pig.Happy hams to that youngster.

Gravatar Enjoy the trip? Sounded like fun.

Gravatar Details! And pics! Hurry up, ya onery fool!

In case ya missed it...here's the link with a pic & story about that Alabama "hog". Apparently, it's the real deal. I swear, I don't see how it could have even walked, though.

Gravatar I bought a piece of property recently and I was cleaning out the old storage/workshop and found a camo case that contained a Bear White Tail II compound bow, a quick-release, approximately 10 broadhead razorblade arrowheads and an attached quiver with 4 or 5 arrows in it.

It looks to be in pretty good shape, it's not beat to hell and isn't nicked up. However, I am pretty sure that it's been there over ten years since the property I bought hasn't been lived in for at least that amount of time. I pulled the draw on it, and it wasn't very heavy.

My question is, if I want to start shooting this bow do I need to get it restrung? Are there fatigue problems in the bow I need to be careful of? There are no visible cracks, and the cams are still in good shape and are lightly oiled. Also, what's this worth, ballpark?

Gravatar Geez....those folks must think he shot Bambi the pig.

Gravatar That be one big pig! Holy Schnikeys!

Gravatar An ironic twist in the negative comments:

"I am not an active animal rights activist but I believe in "compassionate killing". I hope the thoughts of the 3 hours of suffering you inflicted on this animal with your 16 gunshot wounds will haunt you for for the rest of your life."

Apparently compassion is only required for killing. It's fine to wish someone to suffer "for the rest of your life".

Ban hunting?? Some of those people are idiots who have no idea the damage to the ecosystems such actions would cause.
