Some people just never learn.

Gravatar (picks up stick) Does this mean another dead horse to beat??

I am not minding, it actually gets entertaining at times.

Gravatar I wonder if NASA was ever approached about putting advertisement logos on spacesuits or equipment?

Gravatar I love it.

Gravatar What exactly am I missing here?
You seem to insinuate that this picture is more evidence that the lunar landing never happened. I don't see why, though.

Gravatar Cause caulk is an outdated technology. I just can't figure out what's replaced it. Same goes for rivets.

Gravatar Its a joke Zig.

Gravatar *snort*

It's funny as hell, that's what it is!

Gravatar of course... if you note.. the shadow cast by the flag is not parallel with the shadow cast by the actor.

But of course.. see.. there was light refecting on it from a secondary source... or something.

Gravatar haha nice try! the objects in this picture are not from the same mission!!!!! lmao

Gravatar note the angle the LM is sitting at, could never lift off at that angle!!

Gravatar Rivets are not an outdated technology. They are still used in new modern aircraft as well as jerry rigged redneck creations.

Gravatar Ya know what is out dated?

Barn metal.

Oh.. and also... slide rules are outdated.

Oh.. and not-enough-radiation-shielding...

That's also outdated.

Oh and one more thing... Fake moon rocks that show no signs of water... those are also out-dated.

Gravatar Nate, you need to give it up. Nobody is going to disbelieve the moon landing, are you're sure as hell not going to believe it. I think it's time to move on.

Gravatar David... its my blog. I write what I want.

Gravatar By barn metal, I assume you mean sheet metal. The 747 created ~1970 was riveted sheet metal skin. I think the A380 which came out last year has the same.

I have never actually seen a slide rule, I'm too young.

The radiation from the van Allen belts are fast moving charged particals, alpha and beta particals. This is why they became trapped in the earths magnetic field. Because they are charged particals, they can be easily stopped by said barn metal and insulation.

Fake moon rocks? Maybe a joke? I got nothing

Gravatar Nate, talk about the fake moon rocks the fedgov gave to Denmark, or whoever it was. I forget the details, but it was entertaining.

Gravatar Figured y'all have seen the picture before. Just wanted to be sure.
Nate, sure miss Dickson County. Still on the contract in South FL. Coming back in Nov to see my redneck girl in Henderson County. When people ask me what I think of the Ft Lauderdale area, I call it "Philadelphia with palm trees."

Gravatar "Philadelphia with palm trees."

That's certainly no compliment.

Gravatar Wendy, you don't know me very well. Haha. I will clarify. I live in TN and took a consulting job in the Philadelphia area about 5 years ago. Believe me, calling most of Ft Lauderdale "Philadelphia with palm trees" was meant to be anything but a compliment. I guess I should have been more to the point. It is a crowded crime hole filled with relocated debt ridden, arrogant yankees who honk their horns, tailgate, cut off other drivers, and run red lights, and hostile parasites from the islands. An unsustainable third world entity. Every day I am astonished that there are people who would consciously choose to call this place home.

Gravatar Nate will you send me an email: dvonn@hotmail.com.

I am interested in getting a motorcycle. And I know you helped Darlin' Joy get one. I'm 5'6" and under 115lbs. I've been told repeatedly that I can't ride a bike because I'm too small. But in reading what you and JAC write about riding, I think it's just about the right bike for me.

Thank you for your help.

Gravatar Oh. Sarcasm?

Gravatar Well, we are in complete agreement re: Philly, and I can't imagine that too many (or any) rednecks like the place.

Gravatar email on the way

Gravatar Joe... Missed ya buddy. I'm holdin' down the fort here in Middle TN but I could use a break from the watch when ya get back.

Gravatar Hell, people that live in Philly can't stand the place.

Gravatar Bill's right about that!

Gravatar I've never been to Philadelphia, but I am pretty sure I hate it.

I wouldn't mind being a guest fort-holder-downer in Tennessee once in awhile, though.

If I can get someone to watch this part of Texas for me...

Gravatar Great find.

Gravatar Nobel, you and I both know that, but don't tell Nate.

Gravatar Nate, Where do you shoot? I've been to the range on the Cheatham game land a couple of times (I moved to TN from NC in 2005). I worked up some 180 gr reloads for the 300 Weatherby Mag that my father left to me. He bought it in 1964 in Alaska and killed a grizzly with it. He was a doctor at the time at the BMEWS base in Clear, AK. I only take it hunting on nice days with no rain and when I won't be bashing through brush. Near mint. I know based on your comments about fine firearms that you'd appreciate it.
Maybe we'll sling some lead sometime.

Gravatar PS - When I take over the watch in Middle TN, I'll be packing the Colt Gold Cup National Match 45 that my father bought about 1966. You'll dig that one also. Same condition. I keep it at the ready in FL.

Gravatar Moon landings?

Gravatar Joe,
I shoot at cheatham WMA but I'm so irritated at the lack of range space i am seriously investigating starting my own range in dickson county.

Start up costs are insane. That's the only trouble.

Gravatar Here's the story I was thinking of:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8226075.stm

Gravatar "...i am seriously investigating starting my own range in dickson county."

What happened to expatriation?

Gravatar Oh its still on the table... believe me. Ranges can be sold.

Expatriating is an emergency plan for me. its what to do when it all hits the fan. There are certain triggers that we watch for. The more they appear... the more seriously we approach bailing out.

Pressure has seriously abated in the last several months.. quite unexpectedly.

Gravatar The US needs people like you, Nate. For when things fall apart into nice little regional chunks... as it should be.

I, for one, am glad we're sharing the same state.

(Though... I may end up running too in the end. South America looks mighty fine.)

Gravatar Oh little bloggerbell, come back little bloggerbell. (claps 3 times)

Seriously, I think your brother believes you are going Italian gay or something.

Gravatar Nate's pestering Facebook friends for moonrocks.

Gravatar OOoo! OOoo!

I'll volunteer to make the blue umbrella drinks!

(Bill, I really hope you're telling the truth there.)

Gravatar Why are the range start-up costs so high?
