Considering how much of our civil engineering infrastructure is nearing or exceeding its designed lifespan you would think that someone somewhere in the federal bureaucracy would use some bailout money on it. But no, ain't gonna happen.
What I find fascinating is how enthusiastically the powers that be are driving this economy right off the cliff. And in doing so are sealing their own doom either from their own exposure to the economic collapse or to rampaging mobs bent on revenge. I understand that many of them will have golden parachutes enabling them to escape but I wonder for how long.
I also marvel at how many people willfully do things that are blatantly NOT in their best interests.

The new Cowboys Stadium in Texas costs 1 billion. We could've put 35 of them in each and every state of the union.

Is it enough to build a fence along our southern border with Mexico? With enough left over for 1000 full time employees to collect up illegals and ship them home? And still enough left over to re-imburse every state for the cost of jailing illegals who are not allowed to be deported? And enough on top of that to buy a G-5 for every one of Barrack Obama's closest friends?
