They'd probably say that runaway flatulence caused the last Ice Age. Thank God for smaller bowel movements...

Gravatar You also neglect the likely impact of Aliens. That long ago, their intergalactic transportation would have probably been piston driven and we know they were here mucking things up that long ago.

Thankfully, they are much more eco-friendly today...being an advanced species and all.

Gravatar I like how they simply assume that the ratio between this monster's vertebrae is the same ratio that snakes have today.

Because that wouldn't "evolve" too, would it?

Gravatar nate that snake was 60 million years ago, climate changed greatly since then. the 1 degree temp you are referring to means a change large enough to affect humans. people get confused on this point quite often.

Gravatar jeff,

Look up "medieval warm period" on google. Then come back and tell us how a 1 degree increase in global temperatures will be catastrophic for humans.

Gravatar So Jeff...

How exactly is going to affect humans again?

Gravatar You guys are so eager to attack you dont read my message correctly. i did not take a position on the subject. im was trying to clarify the what i thought they contend. i think they are saying the temp has changed greatly over the eras before man appeared and at present man is a specie that cannot survive more than a 1 degree change. this is not my position on the subject, i thought nate misunderstood thier contention so i was just trying to help clarify, maybe i misunderstood.

Gravatar Jeff, if you want to see an attack, go question anything you read at a blog "on the other side" of this issue, or evolution, or science vs. God, etc. They'll take it personally and go for blood out of the box.

The people here don't care nearly so much about someone disagreeing with them.

Sure, they like to argue, huff & puff, turn off the spell checker and all that, but it's generally not personal unless you make it.

Gravatar Oh, and I kind of like the mental image of little monkey-like creatures fretting about the endangered giant snakes and arguing the case for riding segways rather than their Flintstone-mobiles (which, if you get technical, appear to already be zero-emission vehicles, unless you count Fred's own personal output).

Gravatar My condolences on the Titans. The way the Vikes played, I predict humiliation in the not too distant future. But not 59-0 humiliation.

Gravatar Of course, a liberal would come away from this article screaming "Climate change is going to create giant snakes!"

Gravatar Which would be kinda cool...

Gravatar "Ask me about microwaving cats for fun and profit!"
