"Is diversity good?"
Ignoring diversity and just accepting people as people is much better.
It seems to me folks that blather on about diversity are more concerned with forcing it on folks instead of just letting it happen as it may.
And if some folks' demeanor makes others not want to associate with them, that's life.

"Is diversity good?"
It depends on what you mean by that. There are good things about every culture, but some cultures are better than others. If, by "diversity" you mean we keep Italian cooking and skip organized crime, and keep Chinese acrobats and skip Buddhism, then that's fine - I'd go for that kind of diversity.

Mike... that's the tactic they must adopt... because diversity only happens when its forced.
As I've said before... Racism is human nature.

I think weird because of my early teenage years in Germany on an army base. I didn't think racially the way I did later after moving back to the states. I guess I'm too hopeful because almost everyone at our school got along fine, with a racially-diverse group.
We made jokes at everyone's expense (nappy-head, kung-fu, honky, whatever). No one seemed to take any real offense.

It worked. I saw it work.
A dead giveaway is when they start using the same talking points as the 'preachers' do in the media - even almost verbatim.
My eyes almost pop right open when I hear that.

Nate, I crying, bring me a hanky, a guy just brought me a bunch of 100 dollar bills and drove off with my DRZ in the back of a big red pickup. Weep, all I have left is my Honda (1974) XL 350, which goes slow enough for me to ride. I lost my friend now I have to post this over at JAC'S Place. Boo hoo!

This is so great. I was just having an online discussion with some people who weren't overly familiar with homeschooling and one of the women was all hand wringy about how if you homeschool you could indoctinate your children however you like and never teach them about *gasp* evolution or to accept homosexuality as okay and a whole list of things. I didn't have the energy to point out how she had been indoctrinated to accept those things as truth.

Hey, post a link. I *always* have the energy to argue with strangers on the internet! I can do all the work for you, and we can just sit back and watch the fireworks!
(I'm just kidding for my own benefit here - don't post the link.)
