I'd rather lose without Pacman, Vick, or Barry Bonds, than to win with any of them on my team.

Then you'll always be a loser.
Football is about competition. its not a who's got the nicest guys on their team competition either. Its about what happens on the field.
Maybe you're impressed with united way comercials.
I for one don't give a damn.
I want to see them play their asses off on sunday. If they get in fights off the field or spit on people... so what? Shit happens.
If character is so important to you, turn off the TV and next sunday, go on down to the local Help Center and cheer on the volunteers.

Yeah, not even a Titans fan, but I'm sorry Pac ain't playing this season.
He's a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

I didn't notice any listing of all the penalty yardage Mr. Jones racked up last year. Why was that left out?

Given Mr. Jones' problems, not letting him play football doesn't seem right. He should be playing much, much more. Maybe that'll keep him out of trouble. Still, the boy needs help... and to grow up.
Still, why are athletes treated so differently? If he should be in jail for what he's done, then he can't play when he's in jail. If he's not in jail, he should be eligible to play. It's still a job. Anything else should be between him and the Titans and their coaches, not the league. Further, why should the Titans be punished for an individual's actions away from the field by way of salary cap hit? He's their headache. That is adequate punishment.

Seems to me the Titans should just run him till he pukes 6 or 7 times and see if that doesn't teach the lesson. If not... they could handle it the way they did back in the 80s. Three or four linemen would just beat the shit out him.

"Three or four linemen would just beat the shit out him."
That's the best solution yet. The team's got a vested interest in its image, and players can mess that up with their off-the-field antics. But I agree that the suspension hurts the team more than it helps it.

Hehe...that was the idea, Nate. Teammates can keep teammates in line. Coaches too.
Granted, if I were a GM (scary thought!), regardless of the sport, I wouldn't keep a guy like him around, unless, of course, he turns things around.
You know, I must be really bored to be posting about football...time to get some work done.

In addition to the three or four lineman beating the crap out of poor Pacman (haha), we could also have the QB bing him on the head at say, 40 yards or so. Now THAT would be entertainment!
Still, the Titans are one of my favorite teams, I hope they bring him back from suspension for the season and kick some ass.

Hilarious. Although I must say that my wife would more than likely disable my legs if I showed her this on sheer principle.
