He may in fact not have a chance in hell, but I've never felt better giving money to a politician. I'm doing the right thing and I'll wear his likely defeat with pride. And I did not vote for Jorge, not once, so doing the right thing isn't complete foreign to me. There's nothing like knowing you stood up when it counted.

The truth is I support Paul for the benefit of my wife. While I admire the man and his consistency and his positions... I don't think he'll win anything.
That said... in order to leave with a clear conscience my wife needs to know we gave it one last real shot.
So that's that. Ron Paul is Nate's last stand. The country isn't worth violence... so I'll do this... and when it fails... We'll leave.

You have a beautiful young family Nate. God bless you where ever you go. My children are all grown and I'm single. I'll stay for both of us.

Paul may not win.
They said that about Washington too.
Nate, I feel for you. I wanted to go Ex-pat years ago. Even had a decent shot at a bank job overseas. Its no go with the wife here too. I live in the last free state in the lower 48, and we're losing ground here as well.

In what respects are those places more free than the US? Don't get me wrong, I completely agree on the direction the country is headed, but I can't find anywhere to go where I'd have MORE freedom, especially when it comes to guns.

Hi Nate, Belize was a beautiful country, I spent a month living in a dingy village called Silk Grass, outside Dangriga.
Bring some money, and you can easily become the man there.
Funny, those same nations are on my short list as well for the future. As soon as Homeschooling is totally unlawfull, we are out.

It's the woman in Utah who was threatened with jailtime if she didn't enrol her kids in the public school, because they lost her paperwork. Oh, and she's not allowed to move out of the district.

you would defininately have more gun freedom in Switzerland than the US... along with every other freedom as well.
Don't even get me started on Belize.

I read it. In Utah of all places. I wanted to send some info about homeschoolers outscoring public and private school students in general testing and SATs, but could not find his contact info.
Plus, the guy has a mustache. I cannot trust people with mustaches.

Utah's a horrible place for homeschoolers. Always has been. Just FYI. I grew up a couple hours north of there.
I wish Wyoming had better laws on homeschooling.
Hey, Res, you wanna run for rep? Paul's gonna need some help in the House and Senate if he gets elected.

Nate,
Swiss citizenship is not easy to come by, and I'm pretty sure you have to be a citizen to own guns there.

I've thought about it. I could do a better job than Cubin. I can't stand the thought of your neighbor from New York being elected. I just need money and grassroots support. I haven't had any dealings in Cheyenne for awhile, not that I was particularly close to political machine. My guess is that one of our state reps will run in Cubin's place.

Waterboy,
The moustache and beard are okay. What isn't generally okay is a moustache alone. It usually means the guy thinks he is a badass and acts accordingly. Same thing with bald heads or closely cut hair.
Odd how those same exact things are so very popular amongst the police...

The goatee and full beard is fine with me. I have grown all forms of facial hair styles.
I am starting to think soul patches are not to be trusted either.
Anyway, you all have a good day, I have to work now.

Res, let me know who you think'd be good out of whoever steps up? I don't know enough about the state reps yet to judge.
I keep thinking maybe when the boys are bigger I should run for something. Be real educational for them, don't you think? ('Excuse me, what's your son doing?' 'His math. Counting the donations.') Somehow, though, I suspect if I ever brought up the idea I'd get a protest based on less home cooking. I could hardly argue with that!

BoysMom,
Our choice is going to be whoever steps up as a republican and that nut job New Yorker living in Jackson. If I had an extra 10 grand and the time I'd do it.
