the ancient hebrews believed that a man's prayers could only be heard by God after he'd sired.
They were wrong. I cite the book of Daniel as proof, cause Daniel was a eunuch...

Maybe not incapable, more like unlikely to. Little girls are a nice little icing on the cake after 3 boys... but they are a completely different breed. I would guess you'd get plenty of assistance from the in-law side of the family.
Besides, don't there need to be more little girls born to someone who would teach them how to use a gun?

Well if God doesn't hear my prayers because I am childless will Jesus?
I think he does.
Damned certain in fact.

" I thought I knew what suttle was, but then Farmer Tom came along,"
Jamie R
Jamie R, I tell you with all sincerity, I have never, ever, in my entire life had the word subtle and my name used in the same sentence. Dude, I am the poster child for blunt. I believe in the Biblical admonition to let your yes be yes and your no be no, none of this nuanced BS, for me, I say exactly what I'm think'n.

"I rememeber being humbled."
Try saying THAT three times fast!
I really hope those Hebrews missed the mark on the prayer thing too.
But seriously: I think of being a father, and get scared. The responsibility is so massive, I hesitate to say I could deal with it.
But I know I'd be happy, even though scared near to death. And I'd be so grateful for my lady bearing my child. I just wouldn't know how to start to express it.
I get envious (in a good way) of parents in real families. And truly pissed off to think how many treat parenthood so thoughtlessly.

I am glad my daughter came before my two boys. Had they come first, I would have already been ingrained to be rough and tumble 100%. But she came first, melted my heart and I found a special daddy/daughter relationship that is beyond description. Then came the two boys that I fight, wrestle, watch football with, etc.
God was pretty smart bringing them to me in that order or else Nate's problem with having a daughter would have been mine, as well.

Looks like ours due in May will be a girl, they couldn't see a penis in the ultrasound. I guess it could just be a Patriot's fan, though.
Anyway, Josh and Simon are going to be six and five years her elders, respectively, I can't wait to see them be protective big brothers.
