Gravatar Well, binges sometimes happen when you're dieting. In Weight Watchers and yarn diets alike, you get to start with a blank slate tomorrow. And it'll be that much easier to stay on the wagon now that you've had a good, satisfying binge.

Gravatar next time take me along
must get things in a line up for the fall now that the weather is cooperating a bit better!!

Gravatar Yay! You must feel so much better now! Fall's rapidly approaching--you deserve new yarn. I loved looking at all of it, too. That lace tweed is amazing.

I was so starved for sweater knitting that I bought yarn for five sweaters in a week and a half. Ugh! Now who's on the yarn diet??

Gravatar I love Merino Oro! I have a skein in that exact shade, and also one in silver-grey. I bought them both at the yarn shop I used to work in (we closed last week)... I'm always surprised how rarely I come across Merino Oro in (other) real shops.

By the way, will we ever get to see photos of Agnes? Did I somehow completely miss them?

Gravatar Don't be so hard on yourself - how can you knit if you don't have any yarn?

Ditto to Eva's comment . . . bring out Agnes!

Gravatar I don't know what to say, young lady. Go to your room and think about what you're going to knit.

Gravatar OMG, I have (I think) that SAME gems yarn for ... Ester! OMG! We might have matching socks! When are you starting yours? Mini-knit-alaon???

Gravatar books, CD's, and yarn -- these are my retail therapy items least likely to involve guilt. Somehow if you're going to expend effort in the knitting, that earns you moral points for buying yarn, doesn't that make sense? Does to me, anyway!

Gravatar i don't know... you seem perfectly justified in buying all of that stuff if you ask me!

Gravatar Wow, when you fall off the wagon, you really fall off, don't you? Still, you've made some beautiful choices. And really, the battle was over as soon as you agreed to go to Habu. I must get over there too soon!

The Montoya Beach is lovely, isn't it? I've been wanting to make something out of it for ages.

Gravatar Lace tweed yarn? What a way to go, I love it! If you're going to break your diet, you chose a fitting temptation.

Gravatar Congratulations falling off the wagon!! Definately worth it for something as unusual as tweed laceweight (dang it all, how am I supposed to get some?)

I think I've gotten that Ornaghi Filati Merino Oro at Seaport Yarns (the actual brick & mortar store)...

Gravatar OMG I completely forgot that I too started the yarn diet from KFYS 2007. Ooops! Guess I blew that! :O)

Gravatar the first step is admitting you have a problem ....

Gravatar well, you certainly fell off the wagon in a spectacular fashion

Gravatar that's what happens when you quit buying cold turkey, you are bound to go overboard when you do buy again! What a great way to go overboard though! Tweed Lace???? Cool....

Gravatar Wow, when you fall off the wagon, you fall off good and strong don't you? Nice Stash enhancement though, you did good

Gravatar oh no! laceweight tweed? is that even legal?! and the linen ... and the louet ... this is not good. not good at all. i need to close my browser and hide my creditcard right now.

Gravatar I don't know, if you can leave Seaport Yarn without buying anything, you mustn't be human! That store is amazing. I recently fell off the wagon myself, using 'must support my LYS' as my rationale, and bought loads of Colinette Jitterbug! Of course I fully intend to knit out of my stash for the rest of the year Be strong!

Gravatar honestly tho, you should be proud of how long you went in your yarn diet. it's pretty impressive.

Ornaghi Filati's Merino Oro is quite the allusive yarn here in NYC, second to Rowan All Seasons Cotton. Gotta stock up while you can! i love that shade of red, it's gorgeous!! what are you gonna do with it?!?!?!

Gravatar All the Habu-talk floating around these days is making me covet terribly! Somehow, I think that's a good excuse for falling off the yarn diet wagon.

I'm really interested to see how that laceweight linen knits up. I really like the color.

Gravatar Jesus, I feel like it was me who led you down the slippery, slippery slope! As though either of us really NEEDS more yarn, sigh.... Well, now that you're off the wagon, next time YOU can drag ME down this path of destruction.....

Gravatar I just saw your blog (via brainylady) and was pleasantly surprised by your mention of Seaport Yarns. I was visiting my dd in NYC the other week and insisted we go there. She (a nonknitter) kept muttering something about a firetrap, but I was overwhelmed by all the alcoves and cubbyholes. I came away with sock yarn, so didn't violate the KFYS rule that day.

Gravatar This binge looks like a great one!

That tweed lace is fantastic!!

Gravatar Yay for yarn binges!

P.S. I love how you photograph your yarn.

Gravatar I am sure you will be able to pick yourself up and dust yourself off!
Can't wait to see the creations!!!

Gravatar it's okay, veronique - you've been dieting so long it was clear you were headed for a major lapse eventually at least you exercised your usual good taste!

Gravatar Tweed Lace ... oh, sounds awesome! I want! ... to live in NY where all the lovely yarn stores seems to be!

Gravatar Tweed lace! What a great idea! And you of all knitters? This is going to be something special.
