Gravatar gorgeous looking projects, veronique! i love your guesstimates. i need to know how far along i am too in order to motivate myself to continue!

Gravatar oh man, i love your yarntini sock - those colors are so pretty!

Gravatar I do the exact same thing - for me though, the legs on my socks are usually just as long as the feet, so after the heel, I'm about 55% done! I love seeing progress and knowing how far I have to go!

Gravatar Seems like you are zipping right along on the cardigan - it's looking really great! I love the shaping and the different stitch patterns.

Gravatar I love the cardigan and the socks!
Misocrafty's t utorial is awesome. It's how I learned short row heels.

Gravatar I like to try to figure out how far along I am too, but long sleeves are usually bigger than half-fronts, don't you think? I usually calculate by how many balls of yarn I've used versus how many they recommend you have. That way you know that you're probably overestimating how much you've done.

Gravatar Lovely! Agnes will look so delightful with that top.

I've been wondering... are the little dots in the Agnes pattern done later on as embroidery (French knots? duplicate stitch?), or are you omitting them altogether? I like the way your pieces look without them, but I really like how they look in the pattern pics, too.

If you are doing them, what color will yours be?

Gravatar Yes, that cardi is perfect with your dress! You just need a garden party and you are set!!

I am a misocrafty short row heel devotee myself. It's really the only way!

Yours looks great. Nicely framed shot as well!

Gravatar I love that your scientific mind has come up with the 'knitting units' concept. I've actually heard an LYS owner tell a customer that doing two sleeves is like doing a back or a front, so you're right on target!

Gravatar I wanted that dress!!
Units--you're such a scientist.

Gravatar I've been wanting to knit agnes for ages but have never seen anyone finish it. I can't wait to see the finish project. I also like how you're doing it in just one colour. What is the stitch that you're using in place of the other colour?

Gravatar agnes is going to look fabulous w/ that dress. i cannot wait to see your fo shots of you in that outfit. woohoo!

non-knitters are stoopid. who needs them? :P

Gravatar The sock is coming along awesome!! I am doing the same stockinette with my yarntini fabulousness...wish I would have found that great heel though - mine is a teeny bit holey! Thanks for the hook up!

Gravatar I hate that question too - they are such...um...non-knitters. Love the units.

So glad you got to do the misocrafty short rows, great aren't they? You'll never go back now.

I love that lamp!!

Gravatar I appreciate the math, I really like the cardigan, but I ADORE the cardi and tank top combination!!

Gravatar perfect perfect summer outfit! as i wrote before, the pink was such a great choice. now you need to go to find a carnival or soiree to wear it.

Gravatar Oh my lord! Have you been reading my mind?! I've been struggling for a month now with a pair of toe-up socks because I hated the way the wraps look! This just may be my salvation! Thank you!

Gravatar The Yarntini sock looks great! I learned the famed misocrafty heel for my first pair of socks, and it worked out quite well (any mistakes were my own and not the fault of the method). Now I'm on my second pair, and it's even more successful.

Gravatar yes, I am always guessing........how much can I do in an hour? I guess that is what makes us complete projects......knowing how far we've come!

Love, love, love the addition to the summer wardrobe!

Gravatar 1) I love the dress
2) I love the lamp
3) You sock is awesome!
I suspect that I will run out of yarn on the toe of my second sock but that's OK, I like to have one contrasting toe.

Gravatar I love the cardi colour and the maths. I suppose I have been doing the same thing in my head but had never fully theorised it. Thanks, you did the hard work for me!

Gravatar That dress! You're so going to be a knockout when that sweater is done, not that you're not already.

Gravatar Your cardigan is so pretty. The colour is perfect for the summer. I look forward to seeing it completed.

Gravatar I love the cardi! That is going to look gorgeous.

Gravatar That cardi is really beautiful, where did you find that pattern, or is it your own? And it does go perfectly with your summer dress.
Nice work

Gravatar Agnes is just gorgeous! I'm about to hit the heel of the toe-up you helped me start and I'm going for the misocrafy short rows, like you suggested. wish me luck!

Gravatar The sock is looking great - I haven't cast on for mine yet.

Gravatar I think that is such a scandalous question! With so many deadlines in our lives, why does knitting have to have one? As the cliche´goes, at the end of the day, whenever you finish is fine, because it looks fabulous, and you made it, and they didn't.
No one ever asks how long something ugly took.
