Dr. Trodden:
Thank you for your thoughtful comments regarding this horrible event. I would not have found, at least I don't think I would, the remarks of the Mayor of London. My oh my, what words. Spot on, striking deeply resonant chords with me. Former Mayor Giuliani (NYC)was in London in 9/11 mode, I thought, and while I heard only a few comments they were compassionate, heart-felt and he seemed ready to roll up his sleeves and help. We seem to have been spared, so far, the silly comments (stupid?). I want all of your friends to be well, something I hope for everyone but alas this is not the case. I've been touched too by comments of passengers; I wish I could know them.
Take care and please know that good energy is being sent your way.
Cheers.

Mark,
Think about it, you are you agreeing that murderous attacks on Western presidents or prime ministers are acceptable. It seem to me that Livingstone is condemning this murderous act solely because it is aimed at the wrong people. Why else make the distinction between the powerful and the working class?

No Mark, I am not. You are choosing to extend what Livingstone said and I agreed with. He's just trying to make a point about how indiscriminate terrorists are. I would have no more sympatyhy with an attack on the powerful, as the last part of my post makes clear.
Surprisingly, I do think about what I write before publishing it.
