Brendan,
I would gladly take all four, and pay you face value for them!

Wow, fast response! :) Well Patrick, you've got dibs as far as money offers go. But let me see if anyone is interested in trades, which might be more valuable to me, depending. And then I'll get back to you and let you know.

P.S. The statement "you've got dibs as far as money offers go" also does not constitute a contract, yet, merely a statement of intention. :)

How does the system work regarding turning in student tickets for general admission tickets? I know its possible, but how does one go about it?

You go down to the Joyce Center on a designated day during the week before the game, and you pay a fee to "upgrade" your student section ticket to the price that it would cost without the student discount. It can then be used by anyone, student or non-student, to get into the student section. I think these "upgrades" are limited to a set number per game, like 300 or so. Last year, however, I was able to upgrade a ticket at like 5:00 PM on the day when upgrading had begun at 8:00 AM or whatever, so in that case at least, the limit on the number of upgrades was not a problem.
Once you have the upgraded ticket in hand, you are allowed to sell it at face value, but no more than that. Oddly, the duLac gods apparently consider the "face value" of the ticket to be its value BEFORE the upgrade (i.e., one-sixth of the total cost of your ticket booklet) -- so you're just supposed to swallow the cost of the upgrade fee, meaning that selling a student section ticket is inherently a losing proposition, not even a break-even proposition, if you stay within the rules. This strike me as a patently incorrect rule, and it's also not at all clear from the text of the ticket booklet and the documentation that accompanies it -- I read all that stuff last year, and yet I honestly believed until yesterday that "face value" meant the value after the exchange (which is what, logically, it SHOULD mean, since the post-exchange ticket is what you're selling; you CAN'T sell a pre-exchange ticket, so how can it even really be said to have a "face value"?) -- but I have it on reliable authority that that's the rule. It's bu**sh**, but I'll abide by it, to stay within the rules... I dare not risk the wrath of the duLac gods...

If you're planning on upgrading either fall break game (I'd assume you wouldn't upgrade USC, but you could lose your mind in the next few weeks), don't wait until 5 PM on the exchange day. You need to get there right when it opens up or you probably won't be able to do it.

Oddly enough, I think it was last year's Fall Break game (Boston College) that I was able to exchange at 5pm... but I could be wrong about that, as I exchanged two tickets last year and may be mixing them up... and in any event, I don't plan on risking it when my ability to trade for a USC ticket hangs in the balance. :)

It will be easier to upgrade as the season goes on, since Notre Dame will likely start out losing a lot of games.
