They're beefing up security because stadium pep rallies are notoriously more rowdy than others. When they had the rally for the Nebraska game they had students with broken bones who had fallen over railings and down the bleachers -- not to mention dozens of public indecency tickets given to students who were urinating in the stands.

For the doubters out there. The 'source' at ND who confirmed the Bon Jovi/Springsteen appearance is the same source who informed me two days prior to the Willingham firing that he was history. And the same source who confirmed two days prior to its happening, the hiring of Charlie Weis.

So the source's track record is respectable. I guess we will know soon enough.
