not sure if you knew this yet, but the police officer is said to be Officer McDermott.
Just on local news: it was her boyfriend who was also a police officer. He shot her then himself.
I was talking about officer mcdermott before you updated... we were told @ the end of drama club rehearsal tonight. I saw the big group of people at the parking lot as i left who were there for brendan horan. I didnt hear the shooting himself after part but i did hear he was her boyfriend and that he used to be a state trooper and he has been arrested recently for something and had been an accused stalker or something.
The whole thing is very abstract because she is the strongest woman most of us know and if something like that can happen to her, its hard to fathom anything.
Most people are still in a daze.
and about the part abotu the school being in a lockdown... we weren't told anything while we were there and we were there until about 8:30 i think so that confuses me. I know the police station was in lockdown though.
I am also confused as to what time this happened because our rehearsal started @ 6:30 and mrs scorzato already knew before and had calmed down and seemed fine by that time so it must have been fairly early in the evening.
There was a Trooper Victor Diaz in the news recently (WSFB is reporting that name as one of the decedents)
