So what are you going to do when the Law Firm you go to work for uses only PCs?
Umm, why would it matter what OS my law firm uses? Are you one of those people who still thinks that Macs and PCs can't talk to each other, that Macs can't read Microsoft Word documents, etc.? Welcome to the 21st century, dude.

Lawyers are huge Mac users
So are crazy artists, that must just be coincidence.
I think it has to do with them being two groups of people that want their computers to work, don't have time to fight with their computer getting it to work and are in a position to decide what computer to use.

Hate to tell you, but in the business world most companies buy one type of OS. Especially with law firms, where you will have to keep track of your billable hours on the same system. I would be surprised if you are allowed to use a Mac, unless the entire firm uses them.

Max, if I need to have a "work laptop" and a "personal use laptop," so be it. I love Macs and am not going to suffer through using Windows to do things like organizing my photo library, editing my movies and maintaining my website. Been there, done that, saw the light, never going back. :)
Yes, BK, I remembered about registration. In fact, I registered at the Apple Store! Seriously though, who schedules registration for the day before Thanksgiving?? What freakin' morons!
You think thats bad? about 5 years ago UW scheduled winter quarter to start on January 2nd. To make matters worse this was the year that UW played in the Rose Bowl. School was quite empty that day :)
I will never buy another PC or Windows compatible laptop. I've never had one without serious problems.
Lawyers are mainly working with documents and communications so compatability is less of an issue. Apples can use Microsoft software to process documents and email systems obviously work on both types Apples. It's just document transferes and communication so an Apple should work as well as a PC in that enviroment.
