Man, I love that song. What a fantastic day, sunshine, fall leaves, chicken and rice for lunch and now fantastic tunes for lunchtime listening. Almost makes being at work worthwhile today.

I, too, miss the old home. It was a simpler time with clear goals back in the late 40's and the 50's. Family was together and... well... I miss Davy Crockett t-shirts and coonskin caps and O’le Betsy (his trusty flintlock rifle,) Hoody Doody, girls wearing dresses and boy in blue jeans. I miss the innocence and the b&w televisions with the family friendly programs. I miss Friday night football games and the sock hops afterwards. I miss staying out after dark and not having to worry about perverts and gangs and skating at the neighborhood skating rink. But most of all I miss my hair, my eyes and 32 inch waist and the flat abs. I miss being able to run around all night and work the next day. I miss being able to drink a few beers and not feel like shit the next morning, and I miss going to the bathroom only once or twice a day.
