William Joe Mitchell passed right through this area, before being caught on 81 near the W.V. border. I hope that's sheer coincidence.....

Is there a river or body of water Samantha could have accidently driven into? There have been a few cases in the last couple of years, and one fairly recently, where the person went missing and was subsequently found in their car submerged in water.
Samantha was killed in a car accident. Poor girl.

Another update:
Hope turns into heartbreak for a local family, searching for a missing 19-year-old Bedford girl. Police say they found Samantha Bittler dead near her car, off Route 460 in Bedford County today.

Poor girl had been there all along, even though people had been looking along side that road and others because it was a known route of hers 
Sadly, the search for Samantha ended yesterday when a passer-by in a truck spotted her Chevrolet Cavalier at the bottom of a 35-foot embankment off U.S. 460 in the Montvale area. According to Bedford Police Chief Jim Day, Samantha had driven off the roadway and her car had rolled over, ejecting her from the vehicle.

I quiz my kids at least twice a week. I ask them different questions reguarding strangers and people they know. We even role play. I do teach my children that even if they know the person, unless I told my kids they would be picking them up, they were not allowed to get into cars or go anywhere with ANYONE!! Your right, not only strangers try to take kids, thats why I teach my kids about all of the dangers. I think its the parents job to teach there kids, not the school or anyone elce.
