I grew up with Jimmy. We lived in the same building as children and I knew his whole family. I can't believe that he would be capable of such a crime. He got involved in a great career and I can't believe that he would throw it all away. He always impressed me as a responsible and talented individual. This whole article shocks me. Ron Lazar

Whatever happened to JJ Paulsen? Is he still in jail? Is there a court date set? What a crazy shame, I STILL think of Leanne and that baby often! I hope and pray that he'll never remember any of this as he ages, if in fact he witnessed any of this despicable crime!

Has JJ Paulsen gone to trial? I cannot believe how little coverage this story has received. It is sad how this woman and her child's life was tragically ended.

I knew his brother Chris. I can't believe JJ made it so big. Awful ending both him and Chris and his son Chris.

i was in jail with jj, he seems to be a good guy.he helped me a lot with my anger issues.

I remember JJ from Queens College, late 1970s, I think. I was also surprised to read of his successes. He used to hang around the Student Union. He was popular, kind of like a Pied Piper, but I thought he was a con artist. He used to tell people he could read their minds. Never would have thought he would have had a career in comedy writing. But I never could have imagined such a terrible outcome.
