I agree about bad information getting out. The 2/15 lead story on the trib's own site gives the distance from "Downtown Chicago" to Dekalb as 65 miles. This can't be correct. The distance between Cole Hall, NIU and say for instance, 2122 N. Clark St. Chicago is a mere 58.24 miles, as the crow flies.

Thanks. I read that article in MN Monthly. I don't like it that the writer failed to mention that I am a professional journalist, even though my writing about Kira's murder was done for a blog that I run and not for a paying gig. As to her saying my prose was "florid" in that piece -- yeah, I'll cop to that
