Working at the Cal DOJ has made me an intense fan of true crime. I'm not a big commentor but I've been a big fan of yours since day one. I'm very excited and happy for you, and for all of us who appreciate your writing. I will be passing the info to friends and family for sure. November 7 just can't get here quick enough!

Way to go Steve. As a faithful fan from back to the "Darkside" I know your new endeavor will be fantastic. I was a little bummed when you stepped back from Crimeblog but just knew you must have had something great in the works. I also want to say that this blog has been wonderful even without you. You left it in very good hands.

That's GREAT news! Many congratz! As another fan way back to the Dark Side, I wondered what the future would bring your way. What great news! I had hoped that your absence from the blog was due to something good happening for you. I've been reading since the days of the DarkSide and look forward to this new chapter to begin.

As for turning the big 40....I found it to be sort of liberating and not near as depressing as I expected. Now next spring when 47 looms...well, talk to me then!

Thank you all for the nice comments so far. It's funny how when I could tell people about it I was actually stuck for words at first.

You can't call me the host of this show, exactly, and it certainly isn't about me. But "guide" is a pretty good description.

You'll be hearing more about it in coming days. I can guarantee you that.
