Are there any "pet cases" that you plan to cover in the future, even if they are not yet resolved? I think you know one at least that I am obliquely mentioning.

Steve,
We are with you!! Great job on the show...your friends at O. Productions...

Tuned in and watching!

It's going so fast...but thankfully you are keeping the story straight for viewers. What do you think of the show so far?

Watching now. I remember every minute of this.

I'd forgotten about the sunrise thing...

This is so exciting!
btw, yes, your beard does look very red!
I remember when all this happened, and reading everything I could...wow!

Of course you're nervous! I'd be flushing bricks!

Good job, Steve!

Too bad they didnt give you an hour considering the case.

I wonder what it's like to watch live TV. Here on the West coast we just got another old episode of Cops.

I liked it. Great job, Steve.

Steve -- the show is great!! Hope you feel great about it.

Congratulations again. It's a big boost to all crime blogging.

Steve,
It all went too fast! What a great show. It definitely left me wanting more... And, I thought you were wonderful. Thanks so much for letting me be a part of this at the last minute!
Lynne

I also wish they had given you an hour! It was a great show!! Way to bring crime blogging/cybersleuthing to the forefront!

Wonderful show! Congratulation! All your hard work has paid off. People now realize the hours you put into these cases. I cannot wait for next week.

Steve Huff says: "Ben's performance in that courtroom video only crystallized that feeling from him -- that he was so profoundly soulless that even across the Web he left me feeling nauseated, seasick."

References to the 5th Nail do that to me, reading Joseph Edward Duncan's writings made me ill.

I'm impressed Steve. Can't wait to see what you cover next time. Here’s to many more successful ventures!!

Great job Steve! Many congratulations to you on this wonderful opportunity. I've been reading since the Darkside and have always known it was only a matter of time before you hit it big. Keep up the good work and I'll be watching next time!

Great show! I was able to keep my husband from hockey for 30 minutes and he enjoyed it as well. Waiting for the next Huff effort...

What was this experience like for you? Are you glad you do this kind of thing, or is it hard to let it go at the end of the night?

Excellent job, Steve! Will you be on every week? I hope so!

Steve,
Just read your last comment on MyCase.... I had the same feeling. What a great show. And, you are a great guy. Thanks so much for all you've done to make true crime on the internet interesting. As the parent of a 16-year-old, I am glad you are out there watching.
Best,
Lynne

I'll be watching...I have a 17-year-old sportsaholic son, and have to demand my time. Wednesdays at 9:30 (CST). Got it.

Steve,
Did this case change your life?

It changed many people's outlooks OPI. Realizing such blatent evil for what it is, is bound to do that.

OPI:

Yes. It did change my life. Internally, as much as anything. It really brought home to me how truly complex people can be -- young people like Taylor, psychos like Ben.

My writing about Taylor got me my first paid freelance writing work, and I'd not even tried to get the gig -- it fell in my lap. That was life-changing. As popular as my blog was becoming at that time, I'd still only considered writing for a living in passing.

I think my understanding of what I was doing changed. I realized just how serious it was, for one thing. Taylor's youth and the pain in her mother's eyes whenever I saw Janet on TV brought that home. I also realized that there might be times I was the first to come up with something. That was a responsibility I'd been aware of, but Taylor's disappearance and the blogging I did in relation to it really slammed the point home. One has to really think about the information they've discovered and use some judgment when you make it public.

Steve, as long as I've been reading your blogs, you have been notably responsible it what you have reported, and in the way you have done so.

It's what makes your work stand out from the crowd.

That and an extremely readable style...

I don't blog. Naturally, I have heard about blogs. It was the CourtTV progam that brought me to your site. I have to say that I have wasted so many years on the net...never really giving back or fully utilizing (sp?) this awesome piece of technology. You have used the net to bring closure to people like Taylor Beil's mother. For that, you are to be truely comgradulated and appreciated.

I have always been a true crime reader because the REAL monsters under the bed can be found in all true crime. Your blog has captured me. I am sure I will be online most of the night checking it out. The link to Ann Rule (my favorite true crime author) was a welcoming sight!

I have often thought about getting involved in true crime through the net, since I am disabled and spend many hours on my laptop. My pet peeve lies with child molesters, who seem to have made the internet their new meeting and trolling utopia. I have often thought of volunteering with Perverted Justice.

Your work has inspired me. I don't want to jump in without knowing HOW to go about helping, so I am going to devote some of my wasted hours on Ebay to researching how I can be of help on the net and give back.

If you find yourself with a case in NW Pennsylvania, I'll be watching. Bless you for the work you do and the invaluable service your blog and online investigation provided to Taylor's family.

If you will forgive me, I am off to read some of your more recent cases.

Peace,
JeanJeannie

Steve~O...you wrote this:
"At the moment I don't know of any plans for such a thing. If you want that, just write Court TV and tell them you loved the show and want to see more."

YOU CAN BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR I WILL BE DOING THIS! Congrats, my brotha! YOU FREAKING ROCK!

(amen, etc

congrats steve, from Australia.

Sill waiting for your email mate!!

cheers

Didn't get to see the show here in Australia and am VERY jealous.
I will be trawling the TV guide waiting for it!

Your comment on Ben Fawley's attempt at crying was spot on.

I watched the online footage of his court appearance ( I think it's at Court TV) and couldn't make it the whole way through as he made me feel really uncomfortable.

It astounds me that he obviously had a real charisma that entranced quite a few young women, as all I wanted to do after watching him was have a shower!

Odd...

Congratulations again Steve.

Francine

Great show Steve. btw you email me I will tell you everything about something

Great show, I loved it. I mostly lurk so seeing you on the TV was strange and good all at the same time. Great Job and great site, Thank You for your time.

Excellent job! You really brought a warmer side, a real side to the investigation that you don't really see. I liked that you, with her mom, made sure she came across as a person, not just a crime victim. Maybe that is why your blog is so addictive. You really bring things to life. Great job!

Steve, do you know if there are any plans to re-run the episode? I didn't set it to tape because I thought I'd be home, and my plans changed last-minute so I didn't get to see it. I am so disappointed, especially reading your coverage and the comments! Sounds like a great opportunity and a great success. Many, many congratulations!

Well done Steve, I want more.

I so wish I could have watched the show!

Glad it was a wonderful and positive experience for you, and may you get many more opportunities.

Cheers!

I just watched (had to TIVO it last night) and it was really great! I too, forgot about the sunrise thing. He's such scum, it still makes me angry he pled to 2nd degree.

As always, keep up the great work!

I can upload the show in a bit so everyone who missed it can download it. If that would be ok.

Steve Replied. Btw , will you be doing anymore shows? I am also converting the show to avi, to make it a smaller size,

Steve
I was very impressed with the show last night. I was somewhat concerned about how the show would portray you as well as your blogs, but after watching it I thought to myself, finally someone is giving you the credit you deserve.
I was also very impressed that the show didn’t sensationalize Taylor’s story, as so many shows do. There was none of the usual Murder for Entertainment aspect to this show at all, and for once the victims (Taylor, nor Janet’s) private lives were not put on display for public consumption. How rare that is today.

I know from personal experience with you, the enormous responsibility you take on as well as your dedication when you are writing about someone else’s tragedy. The respect you show while uncovering the truth and writing about it is a tribute to the man I now know you to be. I know I gave you hell in the beginning because I didn’t understand this online world, and I wish I didn’t have to learn of it the hard way. I have the utmost respect for you as well as for your writing and I am honored to call you my friend.

Dayna

Steve, you are great.

Seen the show last night on court tv about the VCU girl. Amazing how much can be done via the internet. Great work you guys do.

Velocity,
That would be awesome.....yippee!!!!
I get to watch the show!!!

Many, many thanks...

Great job Steve! I loved the show, and will definately let Court TV know. I had my family sit & watch with me, and they finally get the reason I love looking for info & reading about crimes using the www. To watch what you do/did using Taylor Behl's case was awesome, as it's what drew me to your sites & my own interest in staying involved with these stories. Way to go

Velocity,
That would be awesome.....yippee!!!!
I get to watch the show!!!

Many, many thanks...

Just unzip and use in windows media player or something that plays similar files.

Oh and please only download if you need it as that is not my website, and i was only given permission to use it. They asked me not to use it alot because of the bandwith.
Thanks
Velocity

Velocity, THANK YOU. Very, very much.

Steve

That said, after just using that Mac for footage, I'd go back to Macs again in a heartbeat.

AHA! You're now owned body & soul, Steve. The Mac Empire will never let you go. You're OURS, FOREVAH!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

(yup, i'm one of those fanatic mac people who can't understand why anyone willingly uses windows.)

Np. i am also sharing on over 100 torrent sites, to help get the word out. I will send you the list later. Thanks for the great show again. Hope there is more

10* torrent sites. lol i wish there were 100 torrent sites out there

I just watched the show. It was great! Thank you so much for all you do. I love your writing and always look forward to reading here.

That was great Steve,

I was very impressed with the flow of the program and how it wasn't 'over sensationalised'.

Thanks again Velocity, much appreciation.

Francine
